How much was it in total? If it was around $1400 and you upgraded to a 6990m or something that put the price over 1500, you could have made it even cheaper, or gotten a lot more performance for about $30!

But otherwise congrats, I bought mine yesterday too

 

$1184.00 total. Since my current laptop is a dell from 05 it will be a huge jump no matter. I would have like to have gotten a 6990 but I really needed to keep the price down.

 

I also did make the jump today!.

My old NP8662 decied to die on me last week so I had to replace it asap for st: Kotr

The good thing about this laptop that you can upgrade the GPU by yourself, so no worries, enjoy it.

 

I should have put it in there, but I ordered the np 8130. Is that Gpu able to be upgraded as well? It was not in the options...I think I would need a new power brick also with a gpu upgrade.

 

I think the 8130 has the same chipset, so it should be upgradeable. What they don't tell you is, unless you buy it on here or ebay, it's going to cost you a fortune (like a grand). for the price, the NP8130 can't be beat. I got what's in my sig shipped for 1450... xotic takes care of you (my config is the same as tote, but larger screen and windows.

Hey great config! One suggestion though, unless you plan on applying it yourself, you should opt for the upgraded cooling compound over the stock compound, especially if you plan to be doing intense gaming.

 

Yep, decided to save myself $40 to apply it myself....well, $30 since the IC7 tube cost about 8 bucks at my local PC store.

 

Malibal you should just start making the thermal paste a standard item
