    Hey guys,

Today is a special day, im not going out today! :D

First, I would like to thanks Malibal for their great service, support and offers!

I'm sure if my next laptop is a clevo it would be a Malibal! ;)

Anyway, got a call,"you have a package", next thing you know i was in the post office, it was smooth!

By the way, im located in UAE, I used the USPS express method, pretty good a cheap!

So here are the pix, including a comparison with Asus G50VT

How im planning to use it! ;)

    (thats my car)

    Well, Im happy, so happy!!!

    My Specs are:
    i7-2760QM
    6990M
    8GB-1600
    500GB-7200

I got the Matte + the 95% glossy (not sure how to tell if this is the 95%?)

Ok, few thoughts about the device:

1- Not large, alteast for me, coming from G50VT, it feels alittle bit smaller!
2- Not heavy, again compared to G50VT.
3- Body quality is below G50VT, but im not complaining.
4- Screen....Glossy and GORGEOUS!)...just WoooW, I don't know why people hate the glossy, its not that bad even near to sun source!
5- Performance...not yet tested (updates and stuff).
    6- The charger is HUGE! ( o_O)

Over all, Im so happy, finally im using an i7!!!! (-__-)"

By the way guys, need some help please:

1- I heard once I need to install THX software for better performance, where is that?
2- Also, anyone have an idea where can I get Intel turbo boost gadget, it shows you the clock speed realtime, saw it on my brother's acer with i5.

Thats all for now, can't wait to start benchmarking! :D

Great to hear! Sounds like you're really happy with the new laptop, congrats!

Many thanks for the comparo pic's with the Asus G50. One thing that is sorely missing from the internet is comparo pic's of the 8150 next to other 15" laptops.

Sure! I will try to do more comparison pics with G50 later on!
And it is abit smaller and lighter, I was afraid it would be larger...

By the way, something Im really happy about, is that im able to place stuff beside the laptop to the left, with the G50, it was impossible as the air vents were located there! X/

Have you tried to update the drivers to the latest AMD drivers (here is 12.1 beta).

Download that driver, then download DriverSweeper 3.2.0 and CCleaner.

Install DriverSweeper and CCleaner. DO NOT RUN THEM YET!

Then uninstall the old driver that you had and all that it has in it. Restart computer.

Now run driversweeper and erase any and all leftover folders and registry entries tied to the old drivers. Then run in the "registry cleaner" mode of CCleaner to clean out anything in the registry that is leftover as well (better to overdo than underdo).

Now that you have cleaned out the old driver's footprints, install the new driver (12.1) and let the computer run through its installation process. When finished, restart computer and re-run 3Dmark06.

At the same time, 3Dmark06 is getting long in the tooth. A better test would be to run 3DmarkVantage as that's MUCH more GPU-intensive.

Hey Ahmed how much is gas where you live? Also I got 20000 in 2K6 with a fresh install of Windows and 10.9 drivers I believe. I also have an Alieware M18X that used to have single 6970M and the P150HM would always top the M18X in benchmarks even though the 18X has a faster CPU. You got a great little computer there. I really like mine and I personally love the flat black military look of the machine.

Wow, this makes me wonder if the P150HM isn't as ugly as I thought. From almost all online pictures it looked really bland. The Malibal logo really does wonders doesn't it. My options are XoticPC, Malibal, PowerNotebooks, or Mythlogic if I wanted to spend more for custom looks.

Even without the branding, it is classy. Told you back in your thread that this model has the air of being serious, albeit not the bling bling of alienware.

Hehe. Why did I choose Malibal over some of the other resellers? Just this very reason. The Malibal logo is pretty slick looking and fits perfectly with the general business-style looks of the machine. It looks much better than the unbranded ones or even the standard tiny Sager branding. Also, the pictures on the Sager Clevo sites are terrible. Let the logo catch a little direct light and it looks quite elegant.

Some of the paint jobs Mythlogic has done look very nice too. This entirely depends on your own design choices and how tacky or creative you are. ;)

Yeah, I know you said that. I since decided that the aggressive looks weren't needed. Of course I know they are business-like, but for most non-corporate types, a bit of uniqueness never hurt. Personally I am going to wait until the backlit keyboards at least, but deciding on dealer of choice is really hard. Well, sorry for the slight train wreck/derail/whatever, enjoy the system dude! Hopefully I have luck as good as yours.

Yes, the black case comes with it :)
    Thanks

    You mean like the time?
Well, the email said: Shipped Date:12/9/2011
And I got the call yesterday on 12/18
Around 9 days which is not bad considering I used USPS express international (cheapest) and it came in perfect condition.

No headaches at all, it was a smooth process! :)

Hopefully you get it soon! ;-)

Man, it is so nice to play Crysis at highest settings finally!

Also Mario Galaxy 2 at 1080p...Just WoW (Thank you i7-2760QM)

    Also, I got 3505 @3dmark11
    And around 14300 @3dmark Vantage!
Both are pretty good (stock clocks).

Its just the 3dmark06 score that is low, but im not complaining! ;)

The only driver that will really need updated to the newest release would be the AMD video drivers. The Intel RST driver would also be good if you've got an SSD, but otherwise most of the stock drivers on the disk/pre-installed should be good. Here's a link to the driver thread if you want to grab the newest ones though:

If you just received it, it should have come with the most current Bios. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest doing it unless you have a need for the changes that happened in the newest one. It can be risky if you've never done it before, including possibly bricking the whole machine.

    Hey,

Well I paid around 145$ (USPS Express International).
    This is the cheapest method.

Also, please note the customs/tax on your side.

I had to pay 350AED here (around 95$).

Hi, I'm assuming that $362 is UPS... you can also select USPS from the drop down box on the shipping rates page, which should be much cheaper. :)

Yes, through money transfer places (Al Ansary).
I had to pay 20$ extra for the transfer process.
For shipping I used USPS express international (around 150$).
And for customs (Ajman post office) I paid 350 AED.
