Good grief! Do you still believe IKAS's dx10 numbers?
I need to talk to you about a bridge in Brooklyn.

I don't know what the big debate is all about. Everyone here knows my laptop it the best for the pure and simple fact that I own itregardless of benchmarks. At least that is how I see it.
-
-
Whatever!
And yes I do live in a swamp. -
No mobile SLI config will output 48 Fps at all high, at 1920x1200 without OCing.
I mean average, cause I get 60-65fps in some places with my 8800M GTX SLI. -
Well, why don't more people post benchs with 9800M GT in SLi including vendors? That would end the debate, furthermore people would be better informed.

PS: I trust no one when it comes to technlogy. Show me the numbers. -
Does it really matter anyway?
If youre getting the Montevina laptop, then you have the option of 9800M GT or 9800M GTX. Rather or not 8800GTX is the same or not, its irrelevant at the moment. What could be important is how much the 9800M GTX can be overclocked. Even with the score(s) posted by sligsystems, there is still room for tweaking to get the most out of that GPU. And if you can at least get a 10 percent difference with a single card, then SLI would really kick azz in higher resolutions 1920x1200. Imagine playing Crysis at an average of 50 FPS+ at that resolution on a laptop? -

maybe there will be no 9800GTX in SLI b/c of thermal budget
-
Clevo/Sager do plan to have SLI 9800 GTX's.
-
-
maybe its business planning
let people buy GT SLI first for a few months then release GTX SLI and rake in more cash -
-
i hope someone can get it tell us the Benchys (GTX) and see how much different...
but almost 2k to get it.... i just thing better of with GT sli for 10% different XD -
Exactly. The SLI in either the 9800M GT or the 8800M GTX is more than enough to play ANY game on high at 1920x1200...
With OCing or special configs, even very high -
i don't want to get 9800m GTX sli at 1.2k then with in a year price drop to 600-700 dollar...
can we use this?
9800M GT: performance (about 17 FPS in Crysis).
9800M GT SLI: performance(48 FPS in Crysis)
9800M GTX: ( let said 19 FPS)
9800M GTX SLI: performance(? FPS in Crysis)
maybe we could found out ? -
the 9800m gt and 8800m gtx are the exact same in performance. they are essentially the same cards. so if you want to know performance numbers for crysis just look at prior benchmarks for the 8800m gtx cards.
now, for the 9800m gtx, at $1,200 dollars for sli it simply is not worth it just for the additional 16 shaders. the cost for this configuration is more than twice as expensive as what the 9800 gt sli is and for only a fraction in performance gain due to the shader count. -
We talking about $1.2k for about only 5-10% is just crazy, this is a badget to get a decent notebook or even build a gaming Desktop...
-
C'mon man! 1200 bucks!.........
IMO note worth it. -
i know how we all feel...let me make u all feel better

i wonder how long does it take to drop back to 600-700 -
its a $395 upgrade for the 9800M GTX, so at $1165 for 2 at XoticPC, its $800 for a 2nd 9800M GTX, while the 2nd 9800M GT costs an $490, so the 9800M GTX costs $310 more than the 9800M GT. I cant find it any more but XoticPC was recently still selling a 8800M GTX card for $745 with labor: http://209.85.141.104/search?q=cach...gtx&hl=tl&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=ph&client=firefox-a
Cant find the price anymore for the card only but i think it was close. Anyway $310 price difference between the 2 cards seems normal, so does the dual price since they are laptop cards. Its an addtional 1165 because the base card is a single 9800M GT. As for me I just want benchmarks but even without them im gonna get itIt came out just as I was ordering.
-
no... basic custom for Np9262 2k is include the 98m gt to get 2nd 98m gt +labor (in this case is free) is 490 about $245 each.
if you getting 98m GTX, you need to spend $1165 to get both 98m GTX which about 500-600 per card. Let say 1 98m GTX in include price of $2987($365) while you plan to get 2nd card ( let say free labor ) it still cost you $835. in fact buying single in future might cost more ( exclude price drop ).
maybe the reason so costly are the new updated Sli for this new GPU? -
We can argue that high end Clevo cards are really expensive, as they cost more then a top of the range Desktop card already tweeked for extreme performance (Overclocked). Take for instance this one:
http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-evga-geforce-gtx-280-sc-price-113785-2585421.html
Prices of Clevo cards don't make much sense. Why one would cost $395 and the second one $800? This is common in a market were there is little competition, but things are about to change.
The arrival of new flaming alternatives such as the Tosh X300 things are bound to come down in price, or at least give some sense to the pricing schemes.

PS: What they will probably do is stop selling the 8800M GTX and the 9800M GT in order to keep prices high. -
I`m totally happy with my 88M GTX SLI setup, most of you guys do not realise how much power that actually means.
-
Hey as long as your happy who cares, right?
I'll take my 9800M GT's any day. -
-
8800M GTX = 9800M GT.
I dunno how many times this has to be said for people to understand it.. -
Finally. 9262 and 9800 GTX Crysis Benchys
