I have started carrying my NP5793 everywhere with me now, and the free case is just not cutting it anymore. I would like to have a backpack that is under $100, and can hold the normal accessories. I have been looking at the:

    Slappa Matrix
    http://www.slappa.com/velocity-matrix-laptop-backpack

    Mobile Edge Alienware Deluxe Backpack
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=10VM4T6YWNWKVAB4PXZA

    Wenger Pegasus
    http://www.amazon.com/PEGASUS-SwissGear-Wenger-Computer-Backpack/dp/B000FQ8E3Y

If anyone has any thoughts or other suggestions, please let me know. I have a Kensington Contour but it doesn’t fit, its way too tight.

the rubber is only an outside coating. its sewn over the buckskin. the slappa repells water EXCELLENT.. it just beads right off unless it gets drenched. i also use it on a bike (zx10r) and have no issues. imo the design on the front is okay but not great but it is a very durable bag overall ..

There is a Targus 17" notebook backpack that a friend of mine uses, he found it at best buy for a good price, forget though.

Well I have the pegasus and I love the thing. I take my executioner with me everwhere on a daily basis and I can see no wear anywhere on the bag from 9 months usage (and it fits in hand luggage on planes...)

I have been using a targus for the past 2 ish years. Had some serious abuse on long hauls, also carrying the essential gamepad hard drives etc. Quite comfortable even when carrying heavy loads.
Can't recommend it highly enough. Even fits my new 901c so I can see the relationship continuing.....

Thanks everyone for the quick replies! I am going to swing by best buy today and try out the Pegasus. I was really impressed with the synergy, so unless the Pegasus falls short of the synergy that is probably what I will get. I wouldn’t mind having the Slappa but I would have to have it shipped and then wait. I am impatient! :)

pegasus is a nice bag no doubt i just dont like the nylon used inside. i have found that material tends to leave lots of fine scratches in glossy surfaces, like the small lip on the front of the 5793.. otherwise they make a nice product

yes it will fit your 17inch fine. I own this laptop made backpack myself. let me tell you this. it is one of the best backpacks i have ever seen. Highest quality and can hold ALOT!! of other things unlik lots of other laptop backpacks. Its expandable and has hmm lets see....... it has 4 compartment, including the one that holds the laptop and like 7 other pockets for holding pretty much anything.

what i like about it is it has airflow tech in the back and support on the arm straps to take the weight off your arms and more on your hips where it dont hurt. also it has nice padding for the laptop and an adjustable strap.

I like my Kensington Contour Backpack.

Fits Clevo M570 (17") notebooks fine.

    Review here (with M570U):
    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsId=3018

I would not recommend this for Clevo D900 notebooks (or other thick SLI 17" notebooks), because they will not fit in the padded sleeve, unless if you mod it.

So not to add yet another option to your decision making process but I have seen great reviews on this one:

    http://www.booqbags.com/s.nl/it.A/id.107/.f?sc=11&category=-111

It's expensive - but its built and looks great and can hold a great deal of stuff.

I ordered it and should have it next week. I'll take more photos and post them once I have them and any additional feedback.

    I converted the metric to standard and got: 15.7 x 11.8 x 1.9, the NP5793 is: 15.6 x 11.5 x 1.8. So, it would fit perfect!

I have a Sager NP 5791. I lug it around in a Targus Flare (backpack). I ♥ my bag. It fits my laptop like a glove. And it has plenty of room left over for all my other crap like my mouse, my mouse pad, school books, headphones, games, external speakers, and anything else I want to take with me that day! It also has a LOT of padding to protect my most prized possession. It even has matching orange trim!

It's actually $225 since the $265 is for the "system" that has two sleeves that I find unnecessary. But yes....its still freakishly expensive. I'll check it out and let you guys know if its worth it or not.

The cost of the bag is relative. I travel every week with my 9750 and a good bag is a must. It must be protective and comfortable to use for long periods of time. The bag must also be able to hold all of the stuff that you have to haul around for work.

Considering that a loaded 9262 is around 4500 a $250 bag is about 5% of the laptop cost.

mine is very comfortable and very high quality and can fit loads of extras. all for under 100 the IBEX was. Also on top of that, it has a lifetime warranty! as aposed to the 5yr warranty that the goobags have. They must be good bags if they are confident enough to put a lifetime on any fabrick good for that matter.

Not arguing against inexpensive bags. Just saying if you spend 4.5K on a laptop 250 for a bag is not that much. My philosophy is the best bag for the best price.

I don't have a booq and my Targus XL that was $70 has held up great for over 2.5 years. I just wish it had more room for other stuff besides the laptop.

I have the Alienware Deluxe Backpack and its awesome. It is all padded so nothing ever breaks and the side pouches i though were useless at first but now its what makes the bag. They are awesome quick storage for a cell phone or mouse, ipods etc... It can hold a 17 inch laptop but its a little tight. The laptop is on the back of the bag so u get back support at least!

If i had to buy another bag it would be the alienware.

also it is very comfortable to carry around.

i have actually hard that the AW backpack bags are not too great for holding lots of extra books with the laptop. I could be wrong though.

the one i saw was pretty large unless that is not the normal one all i know is it said alienware on the bag so i guess it could have been a different model maybe not sure but it was pretty big
