Hey guys, I own a np8130 and everything has been great so far, I love this thing. I have been using the finger print scanner with zero issues up until yesterday. I just doesn't work anymore. It does not recognize when i scan my finger. The log in screen when I started my computer used to show a fingerprint. Now it just asks me to enter a password and the fingerprint scanner does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

if its protector suite QL then just open start > all programs > protector suite and reinstall or scan fingers again.

I have a HP pavilion dv7 17" laptop and the finger print scanner stopped working along with my the computer not recognizing my password. I tried to bypass the problem by creating a new user profile but since I am the administrator, I can't do this

Upon logging in, if the fingerprint scanner option is not there anymore and you're asked to type in your password, you should select "switch user" option instead and then reselect fingerprint scanner. After that everything should be back to normal.
