I was wondering do u need any software to use the fingerprint reader on clevo laptops for logging in windows or protecting your files or maybe even using it for logging on sites?

You would just need the driver as far as I know. The fingerprint reader shouldn't be a selling point as it is only a convenience to the user rather than security, much like the face recognition log-in.
