Alright so I'm new to laptops never owned one always had a desktop. But sadly I travel too much now and don't want to leave the gaming experience behind. I'm looking at two different laptops the NP9370 and the NP9370-3D. Alright so now the questions.
    1. Can you upgrade the screen on the NP9370 to 3d later? or is there like a limitation from bios or something.
    2. From what I've been reading the reason people go for clevo built computers is because of the upgrades. So will I be able to upgrade a 7970 to 680's in sli later?

Any websites for reviews or where I can learn the difference in hardware would be very helpful. And the reason I'm curious about the upgrade to 3d and from 7970 to 680's in sli is because I can get a really decent deal on a laptop with a 7970m from a cousin.

    Welcome to the forums!

From what we've been told this requires a special connection on the board allowing 120hz and the screen is not upgradeable due to the lack of that on the standard version.

You'd definitely be able to make that upgrade down the road if you wanted to. The 7970 is pretty comparable performance to the 680 though, so it'd be less expensive most likely to just buy a second 7970m instead.

Check out notebookcheck.net for CPU and GPU comparisons. The GPU benchmarks tend to be a little on the low side, so allow a little buffer with the scores and framerates listed. Quick Google searches tends to lead to some pretty good reviews of components as well, or just ask here!

Yep, Derek has got you covered, OP. To supplement the screen info here: you can only upgrade to a 3D screen of the same size + aspect ratio if the motherboard has the appropriate header. 3D screens use a particular connection (LVDS I believe) and a likewise compatible cable to transmit the extra signal used for 3D rendering. If the board does not have the 4-pin (I think) LVDS connector, then it won't support a 3D monitor.

the 3d screen is superior 120hz one, i took one when i bought my laptop 1 month ago, I just didn't buy the 3D glasses, because i didn't plan to use 3D with my laptop. But the screen itself is probably the best one you can buy now.
