For gaming performance, just perform a driver tweak installing GTX280m driver on FX3700m.
There is no point to flash the vbios unless you run into a situation that your machine which is compatible with a GTX280m could not recognise an fx3700m however.

BTW: That's a lenovo fx3700m which may have issue flashing a GTX280m vbios as someone reported. Just ask niffcreature for more details.

Ah! Okay thanks for clearing this up for me. I thought I had to flash the vbios to make it act like a geforce for gaming preformance.

According to Nvidia, when I do a driver search for the 3700m or the GTX280, it comes up with the same driver >
266.58. So where is this driver tweak ?

I have a new fx3700M. The card works just fine OCed to 560/1400/900.
But I'm having some troubles with drivers..
The nvidia control panel of every version I try, keeps recognizing it as a Quadro, despite every inf mod I do :( No gaming profiles are displayed (only OGLes applications profiles..) and i cannot change IQ or filtering optimizations wich I had with previous drivers..
I think this would be limiting a little bit my gaming performance.Isn't it ??
Plus, some games keep saying that I do not have a supported card (with my previous 9800M GT no problems..)

I am thinkin about flashing mods...
I thought: what if I change device HW ID to 060B from my 9800M GT?? Keeping the same FX3700M bios of course...
will this bring to me a 128sp 9800M GT (so GeForce and NOT quadro) ???
Or will cause black screen ??

Don' t just change the device ID via Nibitor, or you wil get a black screen. Just backup your 98GT BIOS and flash it onto the 3700M. You will still get the 128sp even it shows as a 98M GT.

Why should I obtain a black screen??
If every G92 vbios is the same, what better than an original 3700M bios ??

Because Nibitor is essentially wrong, incomplete, beta and also strangely outdated software.

Just because it shows "device ID" as a changeable parameter does NOT mean its doing it correctly.

Furthermore, YOU HAVE AN M570RU which does NOT support the gtx 280m!!

I'd like to see you all run benchmarks with 100% stock normal drivers and tell me what is the problem running games with that.

    HI again guys,
So I decided to buy a 3700m NB9E-GLM3 from the states to replace my 8700m on my clevo M570RU, I didn't flash anything and when I try booting up it starts beeping for 30 sec then stops and nothing on screen.I paid £180 overall and feel like killing the guy that sold me this.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
