I just wanted to know what the owners think about it, as I might be one as well![]()

Loooooove it!
-
Frickin' awesome
-
Mine has been great....having a SSD seems to help keep temps down too!
-
I have no "heat issue", now that I have a decent HDD. My Seagate Momentus 250GB 700.4 idles at 48 and maxes at 53 while gaming.
Not everyone has a Sager though. -
I just updated the title. -
Amazing... the best 15'' by far!
-
I love it and have no regrets about my purchase. I have been able to max out every single game other than the poorly optimised Saints Row 2 and GTA IV although they both play really well. Every day usage is fast, reliable and the quality is excellent. My hard disk does get quite hot up to 60C but it idles at 50-55C and I am not worried about it.

I love it so much that I just have to have TWO!!!
This is after 5 hours of Prototype---
-
Wow nice temps!
Mine is always 85-90 on TZ0_ and GPU when gaming.
Have to play in low settings with newer games now though, since the 9800gts just isn't fast enough anymore -
And gpu temps are a tad bit high too.
To the ones that answered that heat issues are a major problem, you might wanna leave a comment so the OP can know the exact issue (so he has a better idea). -

Prototype is almost not using resources of the PC... It's works as some office application. That's why Quad is not so hot. Try GTA4 to have fun with temperatures.
-
I don't see the 85-90 as a major issue at all. I'm just saying it gets that hot. I have never gotten any artifacts or system shutdowns. Think I peaked once at 115 degrees when I left it in silent mode. Still no problems. -
I've had no heat issues at all, this is why I'm about to upgrade to a QX9300 ES and a GTX 280M.
It'll still be cooler then my Asus G1S; which idled at 77-83C. -
I game mostly in a basement and we have central AC 80% of the time. Room temp is at a constant (approx)68F or lower.
Im on XP again, and I've been too lazy to undervolt lower than 1.162v.
Prototype is not as demanding as Far Cry 2 nor UT3(though the fun factor is pretty high). The Quads get barely a workout.
-
BTW, the non-quad M860TU gets just as hot because of the 9800GT. I havent heard anyone w the 860/8662/quad combo melting their rig yet-
One OT question for h0w1er- what are your temps with GTAIV? I may get the demo just to see how high mine can get- -
You can try all you like, you just can't beat that Clevo design.
-
The most perfect machine I have ever touched or seen!!!
-
Let's not forget the women
-
I'm very happy with mine so far.
For Sager NP8662 (M860TU/ETU owners), what do you think ?
