    Hello,

    I have a M570TU with a X9100 Extreme (no overlock..)

When i play a game (like Crysis), next 10 or 15 min my laptop Freeze.

I can't move mouse, Ctrl+alt+del not work, nothing work... there are juste the fan running at 100%...

When i look the temprature in idle:
    See attached file 1.JPG

And 10 min after Crysis started:

    See attached file 2.JPG

Woow 96° !!?? (i understand now why the laptop freeze...)

So, i have opened my laptop, cleaned the proc's thermal paste. and added my Artic SIlver 5..

But stil the same Temperature... !

    Where is the problem?

    THank's

since it's the ACPI that's going crazy, maybe a BIOS update would help?

To be honest I am having the same issues after upgrading to the latest BIOS. I get ACPI temperatures over 90° Celsius as well. And my system hangs frequently but for some strange reason by setting the fan control to continuous in the BIOS I haven't gotten any system freezes yet (so far).

As far as I know this is the temp for the cpu but then again I could not any documentation for the clevo motherboards that confirms that this sensor is actually monitoring the CPU temperature.

I also have the X9100 CPU and I am also getting these temps. You don't happen to play ETQW do you? I believe that I am getting serious FPS drops in ETQW because of this high temperature.

You need to undervolt the CPU I tried it using RMClock and it works.

It is going to be an expensive change then or are you hoping that your reseller is going to take the X9100 back?
