My main P750ZM took a dive and I am using my backup Batman now. Looking to replace the system soon. Any word on if Clevo/Sager is going to toss a 1080 into any of the current line? How about the 1080m that is about to be announced?

I will probably end up buying 2 of the new ones (if I can get a 1080 or 1080m in them) and parting out the dead P750ZM and ebaying the working P750ZM. I want to be able to throw 64GB of RAM into them and watch them speed off into the distance at a moment's notice. :)

Anyone with real info would be under NDA ;) But if there are new chips you can of course expect them to be embraced by clevo/sager ;)

Just check back from time to time. Any time there is any kind of rumor, people will post it, and as soon as NDAs are up the news will spread quickly. :)

Hey Mr.Sager, I am just curious, even though I did not buy my system, Clevo P770ZM, from Sager, if I pay certain amount of money, can you guys upgrade the gpu for me?

Like Meaker and pat said. You'll likely see the new GPUs show up in new systems once they become available - Clevo is quick to adopt new hardware - but due to NDA (non disclosure agreement), there are no official dates we (resellers) can discuss.

Thank you very much for your replies. I am going to be buying a new laptop soon and don't want to buy one and then the next week have the 1080m become available. I HOPE I can get one soon.

4Q, probably around October or November, seems like the time that systems will get refreshed. Both Kaby Lake and mobile Pascal should hopefully be ready by then and Clevo isn't going to want to be left out of holiday sales.

Could be earlier than that. Here in Europe XMG just made a price drop of 250€ on their base prices on all models...that probably means that current stock has got go.

I wonder if Clevo is going to do another Maxwell refresh like MSI has decided to do. I've heard September for the next refresh but it usually takes another month or so for the machines to actually be in the hands of customers.

I hope that's not the case, but then again, if there's too much Maxwell stocks, I won't be surprised if this occurs
