I see the 675m and the 670mx: are compatible with My nb? For you whith is the best?
Prices are similar but some features are different from the memory of the MX more than 1 gb!

I look forward to your advice!

    Tanks!

    Thank you Meaker.

I would like to know a few things:

Having 2x gtx 285m, both the take off after I install the 675/670 and everything is working correctly?
I have to change the fan?
Updating the drivers once I start windows and nothing else?

I read somewhere that there may be problems with bios? Can you tell me what kind?

Sorry for all these questions but before buying I want to be sure that everything is compatible!

I don't understand your first question, but yes you will need to uninstall your old graphics driver to avoid conflict first, then install the driver for the 7970m from AMD's website. I don't know what problems you may or may not encounter with BIOS, but there are a few threads with some information on flashing the vBIOS if necessary.

No need to be sorry! You want to have your ducks lined up before you make the jump, after all. :)

Yea, you might have to modify the heatsink.

I think the thread title I posted having the 7970M in it put some confusion in there.

You will likely have to modify the heatsink but the fans themselves should be fine.

    Uninstall drivers
    Remove card
    Modify heatsink
    Place new card in
    Install drivers

Should be the steps (obviously with shutting down and booting up the system at the right points).

If it's the one in the video they just seemed to have arranged the thermal pads in the right way, but it might be worth messaging them to see what you need to make sure you get it right.

In the next week i buy the 670mx.
The operation that i go to do are this:

    1. Update to the last bios version.
    2. Uninstall driver 285m.
    2. Switch off and unplug battery.
    3. Unplug the 2 gpu's.
    4. Plug new 670mx.
    5. Switch on the notebook and install new driver for my new gpu.

    This operations are all corrects?

I search this heatsink http://media.bestofmicro.com/L/3/259959/original/eurocom_x8100-leopard_480m-sinks.jpg because i have only 2 single heatsinks. Where to buy this?

    Thanks!!!

I think eurocom usually sells upgrade packs with the heatsink, they would likely have the right ones lying around.

Bios compatibility, either system or vbios especially with cards almost exclusively in enduro setups, notebooks are never as simple as desktops. 7970M may be your best option then.

Desktop boards have an industry standard to abide by, and also use generic add-on slots. A laptop board - regardless of the chipset - is designed specifically according to the model of each laptop. So in a sense, each model of a laptop motherboard is unique - even models within the same series.
