Was playing MW2 this morning and after about 15min my game simply locked. ALT+CTRL+DEL didn't work, esc didn't work, alt+tab didn't work and simply the laptop seemed unresponsive. So I closed it and then restarted it ... and it hit me. I knew it was going to be bad by the look of the screen that was telling me "Unexpected shutdown .. loading ...%" but instead of being just black it was black with perfect long lines of white dots and commas across it. It tried by itself to go into normal Windows but I reached just a screen divided vertically, one half black and the other white. So I restarted it again, this time pressing F8 to go into Safe Mode and I actually got there. The image was all blurry, colors all over the place, writing all over the place, I almost couldn't make out the icons on the desktop. Managed to check the disk for errors but I couldn't make out the writing before the computer locked again. Restarted it but this time it did not reach even Safe Mode because it errored out with the usual BSOD, but the BSOD was too quick for me to read what it said. I went to BIOS and sure enough the image was also bad in there, lines and patches of color all over the place and the writing was hard to read. Now I'm pretty much stuck, none of the Windows loading options won't work (safe mode, last known good config, you name it) as they all error out with the BSOD and immediately the laptop restarts by itself.
My laptop is a NP8660 and my video card a 9800GT. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a dead/dying GPU to me. You should contact your vendor for warranty info.
GPU or Motherboard Death?
