    So, I'm considering ordering a Clevo with either the GT 650M or GTX 660M (ie. W370ET, W170ER, W350ETQ, W150ERQ). Probably from mysn.eu.

But I'm having doubts because of the complaints of how the CPUs turbo boost won't work together with the dedicated GPUs according to reviews. Apparently this can be still circumvented somehow, but I'd like to know how convenient this is once set up, would I have to worry about it potentially malfunctioning semi-regularly? Additionally I'd be running a Linux distro on it (probably Mint), so that changes it up too.
And if it causes heating trouble to do so, should I take steps to alleviate that - for example choose a cooler CPU or a specific chassis out of these?

Other comments about the differences between these models' chassises are very welcome too.

    Thanks!

You can always use ThrottleStop to force all multiplier to Turbo Boost values. On your own risk of course. But if you watch your temps it should be a non-issue. Not sure if there is a ThrottleStop for Linux though :)

If I was not lazy, I could link some screens of my turbo boosts....

1.) CPU SINGLE CORE TURBO 2.) DUAL CORE CPU TURBO + GPU TURBO
I was using ThrottleStop to unlock the CPU turbo while the GPU was under load.
    Laptop is in my sig.

Turbo Boost generally works just fine - it's the switchable graphics (more so Enduro) that have been giving people problems, and even then, more recent drivers have really helped in alleviating the issues.

As far as Linux goes, there is the bumblebee project, which recently put out a stable release after a long BETA period. Linux does not support Optimus natively, but the BB project remedies that (or attempts to, anyway). :)
