i am currently troubleshooting the problems for these 2 games, so i thought before going into drivers i ask the people who have the same computer if they tried to run the same games.

In GTA4 it is so slow and laggy, no matter how i change the resolution and texture quality, anyone ran this game on a "from the box" 9262 drivers...i didnt find any sager supported drivers newer than mine....

Dawn of war2, loads up, shows u a movie, and just when the game starts, throws u out and says an error "bug" has occured...

    Any help apperciated...

Well u can give a try for a start by sending the ''bug'' error report to microsoft to identify which is the culprit. We'll move on from there.

Well oh my gee it's obviously your drivers son. Like it or not, manufacturers suck at giving out drivers (except you Kobalt guys) and you'll need to upgrade your drivers outside of their help if you want to play modern games.

Either go for a 180+ series driver from laptopvideo2go or download 179.48 directly from Nvidia.com.

well since all the other stuff working fine, and i am was concerned about tampering with SLI,since everything is working good...my "out of the box drivers are 7.15.11.7609
As i said before, i am not sure it is the drivers,it might be, anyone played these games on this system, and had any of these problems with any drivers?

It's most likely to be the driver.

It appears that GTA 4 for the PC is giving everyone problems. They say it's poorly optimised and that it hogs memory. I would wait until Rockstar releases a patch and see if anything changes. As for DOW, it could be the same thing, but since I haven't heard any complaints I'd go with what theriko says and update the drivers.

Patch GTA IV to the second version and get an 180.x driver, 48 and above.
I`ve been using 185.20 since it came out and was trouble free.

You don't need to back up everything to update a driver. It should be straight foward

Other people are having problems with GTA4. It seems Rockstar has coded it poorly and it is not optimised for SLi, meaning it'll only use one card, until the patch comes out. Here is a video of someone using a 9800M GTX SLi Sager 9262 and you can see it is choppy sometimes. Any video i've seen of GTA4 being on run on high settings is choppy, regardless of the system.

You should update your drivers regardless. It'll only do your laptop some good.

ok so this is the update:

For GTA4,i had to install called"rockstar social club" which i missed, i didnt want to play online so i skipped it..anyways, no i fired the game, it was better but the camera was waggling so i thought the guy infront of me is drunk and this is an effect :D , after a while this guy..romano..left and i started to get disy..so i logged off.

For DOW2, i went into setup and put everything on medium, and voila..it worked, then i went back out and put it on very high..now it worked..

Anyways i decided to install the drivers i got from nvidia..the 179.48,so while installing the screen went black, and i waited for like half an hour, then i thought something is wrong so i re-started the computer and checked, found out the new drivers are installed, now i enabled the sli.driver date jan30,2009...so new..i just ran the executable file when i downloaded, hope didnt do anything wrong..
I fired GTA4, no screen wobbling much better...i am running it at 1920x1200
and the highor highest cant remember but the max..the frame rates i read from riva tuner are in the 20s so like mostly at 25.....which would be best to pick the fps to 40-60 ?decreasing the resolution or the text quality...

Anyways thanks everyone for the input

Dawn of War 2 has 3 patches since launch that should help with this. Steam should be updating this for you
