Looks like the freshly released Gecube 1070, 1000USD is extortionate pricing, look around / try taobao / wait a little bit

    P750/770DM

@stefan063 - Physically, yes, it will fit. It may need the vBIOS flashed before you can install any drivers and use it.

@elisons There are rumors about gecube(as pointed out by @bennyg ) releasing 1070 cards in mxm 3.0b forms without external power connector, so this could be one among lucky few dealers who could be selling it. The only way to be sure is w8 and check for more dealers selling it.

The gecube card has been in development for many months, as outlined in this thread by @dzpliu who was in contact with gecube themselves
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-hopeful-of-keeping-mxm-3-0b-alive-thread.795048/

It is nothing to do with Eurocom, who for many many months have offered the MSI non-SLI 1070 (not standard 3.0b) as an upgrade kit for the P870DM (as have others)
It is not the same as the zotac from the en1070
The listings claim it has been tested in a variety of laptops including Clevos (in China)
It is freshly released, unknown if anyone outside China has received and tested it yet
There are listings with inflated prices so shop around

You tested it in your machine? IIRC the GT70 is a pure LVDS internal connection which may cause issues, as always with MXM it's never that simple.

this one would work in many of the older ones with the gtx 980m cards, might be a ideal boost the older laptops back to life... think going to order one for my P775DM1-G Trans force model and try in my P755DM1-G Origins Model , ill keep all posted i for a few different models , looks like NY is were most are at....

Eurocom will begin shipping notebooks equipped with the smaller GTX 1070 MXM 3.0b card or if a smaller GTX 1080 MXM 3.0b card could also be in the works. Aetina, for example, already offers the GTX 1080 MXM in a slightly larger 82 x 113 mm design. Specialized upgrade kits are a possibility for those who wish to update their existing Eurocom notebooks with Pascal. from qoute on another form....

Weren't the Eurocom cards the ones that went BOOM if you tried to unlock the TDP?
Surely these clevo units are not based on those flaky units Eurocom was offering? (forgot the original OEM version....what company was that that was known for having BOOM'ing 1070's?). not Zotac...i can't remember....

Oh yeah it was the Gecube cards that were going boom!

And Eurocom cards are just rebadged gecube right?
Like those Taobao green 1070 cards?

well, i for one would actually be happy with the stock 115W TDP of those cards ;) so not worried about it blowing up. the only real hurdle for me would be to get my hands on a second heatsink (unified gpu/cpu in my machine) and mod it so that it properly fits.

i also believe that some of the reported cases of cards going BOOM were probably related to imperfect heatsink / thermal pad fit. couple that with unlocked TDP and OC and u got urself a nice lil gpu bomb :D

ive learned the hard way not to oc my gpu anymore and just leave it at stock clocks when gaming. for everyday operation, i even underclock it as far as possible to keep it cool.

even someone like @Mr. Fox keeps his mobile gpus at stock most of the time, only overclocking when his laptop sits on top of an AC. and he doesnt recommend ocing too far without using an AC.

so yeah, for me cpu and ram oc is where its at these days. nothing that can go wrong there ;)

There is less reason to push pascal these days, it does get most of the performance.
