Yes, I could try that Blacky. Could you also modify the bios to save battery life when not gaming? 285m GTX vBIOS is what I want.

    Thank You

    I don't understand. You want to flash a 280M from a M980NU with a 285M BIOS?

Yes, i can flash a 280M of a M980NU with a 285M BIOS? SFVogt says "the hardware are identical of 280M and 285M, the only difference is the bios."
Do you have a 280M overclock bios?
    Thanks in advance!

Hey Blacky could you send me a modified VGA BIOS for my e-mail: [email protected]. I have Clevo W860CU with nvidia 280m GTX.
The BIOS I need is 285m GTX with lower clocks on 2d and when on battery(I want higher performance on gaming and lower when watching a movie or just surfing the NET).

    Thanks in advantage

Why is no one in this thread but blacky smart enough to save their original bios, edit their own clocks, and reflash?
If you figured out how to flash it already, you have to be smart enough to use nibitor! Its so easy. Download NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) 5.8 Free - Change hidden features, sign-on message, etc. on Nvidia cards - Softpedia

Also you cant just use other peoples modded BIOS all the time. They usually have stress tested it to be stable with their exact gtx 280m card. Some will not be stable with lower voltages on 2d clocks I'm sure.

    Hi,
I flashed my 280m gtx with 285m gtx Blacky send me. It didn't work, but I was able to blind flash back with original 280m gtx. Blacky if your reading this could you tell the Volts and Mhz for the overclocked on gaming and underclocked on battery values. How low its possible to set 2d and Thrtl volts? Or should I just test out? I couldn't read the BIOS you send 285mgtxoc correctly in Nibitor

Edit: I have clevo w860cu, so I guess it's motherboard related

Try the latest version of nibitor 5.9. You should be able to open the Bios with that.

I can't really say how low you can go. It is really card specific. I've attached two images with the 285M clocks and voltages and two images with my clocks and voltages. They should help you get an idea of what you could achieve.

Any changes you do, you do at your own risk.

They added 285m support? cool, maybe they added 3800m support too, at least I hope so... I should be getting one soon.

I heard the 3800m has 10 performance modes, no idea about that.

I made a post here about support for the 3800m:
    Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v5.9 software and give feedback? - MVKTech Support Forums :: mvk.tech :: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 470 465 460 ATI Radeon HD 5970 5870 5850 5830 :: MVKTech :: On the Edge of Technology

Looks like it might happen soon.

How can I edit voltages for 0,7 for 2D or 1,05 for EXTRA? they are disabled in nibitor. Can't click exact mode in Voltages.
