here is couple vantage runs with GTX470M sli the first one is stock the second one is with 100mhz more on the core and memory lets say a 24-7 overclock i am going to push the system a little bit more but for now here is some :)

Same clocks with physx off and 265.90 drivers

    Almost 20K

And here the first 20K GPU vantage score on a laptop max temp 57c with stock CPU clocks only GPU overclocked !!

Almost 21k :D fans are at full blast and also have a cryo cooler

Going a little extreme here First 21k vantage GPU score fans are full blast with a cooler max temp 50c and i need a new overclocking utility because afterburner won't let me go further :D

I do not know for sure about speedy's setup, but we are finding with the drivers currently available for the 470M as well as the SLI 480's that vantage and some other benchmarks shutdown, and or error messages come up during the runs if you disable PhysX. nVidia needs to come out with drivers with these cards in mind...hopefully soon...

Speedy, the 7280 came with 265.66? Or did you get that off of laptopvideo2go.com? If the Sager 265.66 for NP7280 is designed to support 470M, there is no reason why we can't use that on NP8690 or 8760 with a modded INF to support our 470M

I get them from Laptopvideo2go there is not official driver for the 470 yet

My room temp is always like 76-78
    i don't use any cooler
    Fan speed is auto
The heat sinks for the 470's are different they have 2 extra pipes across the plate where the regular heat sinks don't have anything i think that's why is running so cool

@ speedy with that 265.90 modded driver, when you switch to sli you don't need a reboot in your laptop? because in my stock driver 259.59 when i switch to sli from single gpu (and vice verse) nvidia will ask me to restart the laptop to make the settings effective. but in 265.90 when i switch to sli there will be a little load time but there wont be a reboot option mandatory for change over. but as i exit the nvidia control panel and checked the sli indication it is already activated. im not sure if this process is safe or has happened to anybody using sli with these nvidia modded drivers. Cheers!

Yes i do need to reboot every time to enable or disable SLI we really need some official drivers to solve the brightness control and couple other issues also to add SLI profiles to 3DMark 11 i don't know what Clevo is thinking

Also Sager don't have the latest GTX 470M drivers they appear to be newer on Clevo's website i don't know what is going on because you can't download nothing from Clevo's web

its really strange about these modded drivers, in my case i don't have any brightness change, but i do have that change over sli configuration that does not mandate me to reboot my system, otherwise it may sound crazy but i will stick to my instincts, i had to reboot it manually in every change over. its much safer and in my sense nvidia software considered it an SOP with regards to the original stock driver i was using before and i will take Speedy's sli example (same driver used, different sli gpus) as a gesture for rebooting.

Speedy, during your normal gaming have you ever experienced something like after gaming for a while (a few hours). The core/shader/mem clocks would stuck at max, but GPU usage would be around 1%. No matter what I do, the clocks would remain at max. I have to restart the computer to get the clocks to adjust according to usage.

We really need official driver support. It would seem at this point, ATI does a much better job with coming out with new drivers than Nvidia.

I agree. The copper backplate on my 480M heats much the motherboard of my D900F. Because there is no space between the backplate and motherboard. I wonder if I can leave out the backplate?!
