    I'll replicate the 5870 side if anyone with a w870cu/470m wants to match me. I can set my CPU to any settings. (ie 720QM/820QM/840QM)

    well i browsed around and saw some scores in tomshardware there with physx off in 3d mark vantage (i dont know what resolution they ran it) a desktop 6970 scores 20.7 k, gtx 570 scores 21.5k a gtx 480 almost 20k so does this mean gtx 470m sli will perform almost like a desktop gtx 480 in games? please post some games bench+ 3d mark 11 bench and the settings you benched it

    what res and settings you benched for the vantage tests you ran?

    i think you may be a bit off...
    your talking about over clock moible gpus versus a stock dt gpu...10/4 negative.

    you would have to go by stock vs dual mobile stock to find the right dt to compare to.

    i post some game benches on the first page if you want to compare like johnksss says do stock vs stock even if you know the laptop cards can be safely overclocked 15%-20% 24/7 you can also overclock desktop cards and even more with the right cooling :D
