Hi, I am not sure, if there isn't similar post like this, but I have very weird problem.

    I had ATI HD6990m and somehow it was broken ( 130° C on GPU) I had grey/black screen etc(fried gpu?). Thtat's way I bought a new graphic card GTX580m with spreader for gtx580m : http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/m453Y19L1rPm9XL-2-lOXfw.jpg

and I am using same heatsink which was on 6990. this :
    http://extranotebook.cnews.cz/sites...-test-radeon-hd-6990m-geforce-gtx-580m/22.JPG

I putted thermal pads exactly as it is on the picture. (I wrote to eurocom tech support ) I am not sure with one thing- if I use right thickness of thermal pads. blue 1mm, green 2x1mm

but i have still problem with overheating. In idle, I have 39°C degrees and gpu load about 10% , that's good, but when i start playing dota 2 - Gpu load jumps to 90%+ and in about 2 min of playing card has got 96°C ! then the card reduce core frequency and I have snatchy screen.
    Can somebody help me?
I cleaned all fans, heatsinks and putted new thermal paste on gpu and thermal pads on memories etc. I have coolermaster u2 under RAM hole and under GPU (I make a lot of small holes to backplate) when the fans were under notebook fans it was the same. i can upload an image from GPU-Z if you want
thanks for your help and sorry for my english :)

    here is the screen temp.jpg
and i read in some forums and here: Souboj titán under the 4 pictures there is text : Obě grafiky se dodávaly s jiným chladičem - šlo o stejnou konstrukci, ale dva různé kusy. it means : both graphic cards were delivered with the different cooler - the same structure, but two pieces

have u checked the two gpu heatsink pieces on the 580m, if the chips are in direct contact with the copper plate and the thermal pads? take out the gpu and put the heatsink parts onto it, check from a sideangle view. sounds to me like the heatsinks do not make proper contact with ur gpu...

I checked it. Look at the images :
maybe the heatsink above GPU is little crooked? and thermal pads werent in contact with heatsink but only small black rectangles its on the picture..
    and i use this thermal pads : (5W/mk) Phobya Wärmeleitpad Ultra 5W MK 120x20 x 1mm | eBay

    Yeah that's pretty terrible contact.

You need to re-organise the pads also to match the new VRM layout.

Are you also using the right bracket for the GPU?

Can you show me on the picture where should I add thermal tabs? Thank you very much

And i think its the right bracket, i bought it right for clevo and 580m . The seller told me it, and I saw it somewhere on forums.

And what should i do with the crooked heatsink above gpu? Bend it?

You need to simply make sure the heatsink will lie flat across it.
