    I am looking to get a 150em, but after seeing all those problems with 7970m which wont be fixed, i am seriously consider ordering a 675m instead. 680 is out of my budget, 675 saves me $100 to go towards an upgrade or a SSD, so what do people think? I do understand that 7970m outperforms 675m by around 40% but the problem with enduro kinda negates that adavantage.

    p.s. i do understand that 675m is just 580m and its based on the old fermi technology

    7970m with enduro issues outperforms 675m. enduro issues dont always happen either. def get the 7970m

    i think it happens to every clevo machine because of the way they designed the board. 7970s in alienware are fine because of they way they designed it. also very unhappy AMD is pretending nothing is wrong

    TBH, AMD is not pretending nothing is wrong, they've advised that they're looking into a fix. Whether or not that means it will actually be fixed is another issue entirely. But yeah, go with the 7970m, it definitely outperforms the 675m even with Enduro problems.

    That is what we assume. Haven't seen any official statement from AMD regarding the problem though...

    Partially true. The issue is with Enduro. Alienware are affected by the same Enduro issues, but they can disable Enduro and use the 7970m directly which mitigates the issue. Clevo's are wired directly to the IGP so they have to use Enduro.

    so most of you would still get the 7970m even assuming that the enduro problem will not get fixed for the 7970m?

    Andrew D - For those with 7970M - Enduro issues are also being investigated;

    They are looking into what the cause is right now. What more annoys me is that it took them so long to acknowledge the problem. I am now considering swapping my card for a 680m purely because of their lack of customer care.

    If I didn't have the cash for 680m, then yes.

    If it's between the 7970m and the 675m I would personally get the AMD card. It still outperforms the 675m even with the Enduro problem.

    Ordered it. the 680 is just too overpriced for me, for what you get, enduro aside.
