    Hi guys,

I have bought a new GTX 680M with 2 Gb VRAM in Ebay.

    Title of the article:
    "New Dell GeForce GTX 680M 2GB video card,20HTK / CPCX,Alienware, Clevo,w/x brace"

I ask vendor if the GPU works on my Eurocom Racer 2.0 (Clevo P150EM), and he said, It works.

I have got the GPU, but when I install on the computer, I watch this message:

Intel (R) Ivybridge Mobile PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS
    Build Number: 2120 PC 14.34 08/03/2011 23:04:12
    DECOMPILATION OR DISSEAMBLY PROHIBITED
Copyright (C) 2000-2011 Intel Corp. All right reserved.

I can't go into motherboard BIOS with the GTX 680M connected.

I have got a broken AMD HD 7970M, but when I put it on the laptop, I can go into the BIOS.

    My PC is:

    Clevo P150EM (Eurocom Racer 2.0)
    Intel i7 3820QM 2.70 Ghz
    RAM 8 Gigas DDR3 1600 Mhz
    AMD HD 7970M Broken

The BIOS of my motherboard is:

    MB Series: P150EMx
    BIOS Revision: 1.00.05TEU3
    KBC/EC firmware Revision: 1.00.05EU

I order to Eurocom Support an Updated Motherboard BIOS. Waiting for its response .

My question is, How could I install my GTX 680M on my Clevo laptop? I think that is a Dell GPU, because it is green color and only have got 2 GB VRAM.

Can I flash the Dell GPU to work on my Clevo P150EM? and if I can, How can I flash it?, I am noob in flashing, and probably need a tutorial to do it.

Vendor said that the card has original vbios, which is written on the sticker on it.

    Regards.

Clevo systems almost always have issues with Dell cards. Let me move this over to the Clevo forum for you though and maybe someone with experience with that machine will be able to help you.

There is nothing you can do AFAIK, the Dell card will not work and due to the different memory size you can't even flash a clevo/sager bios.

So, for Clevo there should be only "Clevo" card, and for Alienware only Dell/Alienware? -_-

Clevo cards work on both, Dell cards don't.

Dell AMD cards don't work on Clevo, Dell NVIDA cards work just fine on Clevo in almost all cases.

    All of you are wronged.

I thought that this GPU wouldn't work on my Clevo P151EM1 (I wronged on the tittle of the post, It is P151EM1, not P150EM), and It was correct. I put the GPU on my laptop, and It didnt' work.

I try to install a new BIOS on the motherboard laptop (Need to intall four Updates of the BIOS, because last version hasn't got all changes, and need to do it incrementally). My BIOS is 1/10/2013 and the GTX 680M WORKS PERFECT on my Clevo P151EM1.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH Prema, you saved my GTX 680M to return back in last moment.

I gone the give up, but your post gave me a little hope.

    Thanks a lot.

Sorry, A bit off topic here, but I ordered a Dell GTX 660m for my P170HM (17" version of p150hm)

Is what you said true? The card has a Dell VBIOS. Prema said it would work, but I'm not too sure about it as I've got people claiming that Dell cards have problems.

If Prema says it will work, it will work. I know for a fact the HM series is very picky about cards but if Prema says it works, it should

    Thanks one again, Eth.

I'm confident that it will work now once it arrives. This 130m is too slow!

Yeah it's always a little difficult to cope with the backup card, between my 780M sli setup and 980M sli setup I had an fx1800M lol.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but does what Prema said about Dell NVIDIA cards working on CLEVO models also take in consideration the P170EM?
