Are there any programs or gadgets where you can monitor the temperatures of the components on the laptop?

Download it, install it, and run the program. It should just show you temps and clocks without having to do anything at all in terms of configuration. The min/max/current temperature monitors are the most useful feature on there.

I agree good sir, and a suggestion for an gadget of sorts: msi afterburner beta, it can help you overclock monitor your temps and it has an excellent built in screen recorder.
