I was playing a game of HoN, and the fan turned on which I thought was appropriate. What I found strange was that the fan began going to max speed, off, max speed etc continuously. I turned off the game and the fan was still doing this, so I turned off the computer and turned it back on but the exact same thing is continuing! As of right now this very moment I'm typing this the notebook is becoming cold, and the noise is beginning to bug me.
I don't know whether I did something wrong and I was wondering if anyone knew how to reset the settings on the fan on the notebook. The only program I had on while playing was MSI Afterburner. Also I also saw bumps in fps from low to high constantly while I was playing (if that mattered by any chance...)
Edit: now the notebooks become cold by touch and the sound officially irritates me. Does Anyone have a fix to this fan problem? It's constantly on no matter what I do!

maybe you accidentally turned on max fans by pressing fn+1. press the same keys to revert to normal.
if that doesnt work, maybe try turning off o/cing for a while as it may be affecting the gpu fans in some way. -
