I've tried Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Assassin's Creed 3. I have not changed anything, but these games started crashing at startup for no reason.

I am running the AMD Catalyst Enduro driver 9.01, sager np9150 3610qm and 7970m.

    Any ideas?

might be time to update the video drivers. AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

think they are upto 12 now but cant advise much more as i know nothing about amd/ati

also if you are still running 9.01 i have to ask this but when was the last time you cleaned out your fans and vents by removing the base plate. this is another main factor for high temps and crashes.

9.01 is the latest enduro beta ;) with amd there are package names and the driver versions.

So the games used to work? Something must have changed, software or hardware. Have you tried re-installing your drivers?

They use the driver version as every beta is technically 12.11 iirc which would make it very confusing.

If you read the thread with the title of that very driver you're using (probably where you found out about the driver download link to begin with), you'll notice that many others have had the same problem. I don't want to sound mean but you could have posted this there instead of starting a new thread, or better yet, you could have read some and saved yourself the worry.

Driver update/reinstall as a first resort. If that doesn't work, then as Meaker pointed out, some sort of software change took place. You can try a System Restore to the most recent point just before the issue occurred.
