Still in the research mode right now and I am trying to decide what screen resolution to choose from. My concern is managing a playable frame rate at a decent resolution.

With a lower screen resolution I will get better frame rates and smoother game play but would I notice a reduction in visual quality if I bought a 1920x1200 screen and played at say a 1680x1050 or 1440x900 resolution?

I have noticed in windows that changing the desktop resolution to something other than the native resolution gives some distortion, is this really noticeable in games like Crysis or Bioshock?

I am thinking of either a NP9262 or a NP5796. The configuration that I am looking at only places the NP9262 at a $128 premium and with the upgradeability of the hardrive space, sli, desktop cpus, and reduced fan noise seems like alot of pros vs the only con that I can think of being the reduced battery life. Any thoughts on this?

I have noticed and will have to talk to Xotic on this though is that they do not offer the NP9262 with the new Intel PRO/Wireless 5300 802.11a/g/n, although Power notebooks does offer that in the 9262. Sorry about the rambling but the Sager/Clevo has so much to offer and choose from....

you can play every games with max settings for 40+ fps in WXUGA, except crysis. Don't sacrifice the whole jungle just because of one tree.

Nice saying, lol. I was also thinking of future games also. I am sure they will not get easier to run but I will keep the one tree in mind, thanks
