    Hi everyone

Had a problem was wondering if some of you vets in here had a similar problem and could advise and n00b like myself.

    Problem:
After installing a butt naked copy of windows vista 64bit(no updates). I installed all device driver I had available via my driver disk. (up to date for the most part). I then installed most of the games I play.
    C&C 3 KW
    Fuel of War
    Quake Wars: E.T.
    Company of Hero's: OF
    W.I.C.
And a few others I can't remember.... Anyway basically when I play pretty much any of them I get a direct3d error after a few minutes and Its killing me.

Troubleshooting. updated my windows with windows update and install some invidia drivers 174.XX (can't remember with one). Still no joy. I read somewhere there was a patch that you get from Microsoft you had to install to fix it (can't find it) It happens with or without sli enabled. everything is at stock speeds and my spec are in my sig thanks in advance.

Just try with Vista SP1. Before it were released 4-5 important GPU and memory related hotfixes... which are included in SP1. SO it should help.... :)

You might try a DirectX update... that's fairly painless. Also, google for the exact terminology used in the error message.
