My friends D900F with the 8800GTX is having problems showing garbled characters and weird lines here and there. He recently had his 8800 replaced because the old one died. Is there anything I can do to fix it? You think there's some vga cable or something not installed properly? I even tried a different lcd same problem.

    D900F with a 8800M GTX :p

I guess check the temps first. If it's fine, then maybe reseat the card/check wires.

My second one died as well, do you use the diagnostic screen on system boot? If so do your characters show purple instead of white? I have the weird lines as well and can't boot with this card.
