impressive! didn't you encounter any bugs or crashes with the game?

Don't wanna scare ya.. but most of the folks playing the PC version of this game have encountered lot of issues. Common issues are frequent crashing, saved games are lost and some. I would assume there would be few posts on this forum too. If you google for GOW crash, you would find a whole lot of content.
Since you aren't having any issues, the game has fallen in love with ur lappy! -
' never played this game, sure has nice graphics.

If one can make this game work on the PC successfully, then this is one of the best games out there. A third person shooter, awesome gameplay, great hi-def visuals and good AI.
Cover and shoot gameplay, great somersaults, using the chainsaw (one of the most brutal weapons) are some of the many features gamers love this for.
I would highly recommend this game if you haven't played it yet -
downloading the demo now for when my machine comes back..

Will I be able to play games like Gears of War, Crysis, F.E.A.R, and CoD 4 on a Sager 5760 with a NVIDIA Geforce Go 7900 GTX fairly smoothly?
Would it be worth upgrading the video card to the 7950 GTX? -
you should be able to play them pretty fine man, download the demos and test it out!

Is this game worth the $$ really? I almost bought today but I wasnt sure... its this or crysis for a while, so whats better?
-
Personally I think Crysis is great, its just so damn demanding. But gears of war is really fun so far and it can be completeley maxed out on a 8800m gtx. If I had to choose between the two I would go with crysis, its replay value is the best I have ever seen.

Get crysis, I keep reading that you have to pay to play gears of war online
', that true naticus?

This is true

Cool, yeah this is the most gorgeous game, came out on the 360 a while ago. Definitely a monster classic, if you haven't played it because you don't have a 360, heres your chance, i recommend taking it.

MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
I'm guessing that the developers locked the framerate in Gears of Wars to 60fps, that's why it stays in the high fifty, low 60 range. You should try running the gaming in DX10 mode with the 8800M GTX, it should be no problem for the card.

pLaying online is free. I did not pay to play online. You paid when you want to play with someone who does have a game on xbox360. cross platform games.
