    Hello
I got a Mythlogic Nyx 1712(Clevo P170EM) I'm getting insanely low FPS when running skyrim(15 fps tops). I'm wondering if I can get any insight on what I'm doing wrong:

    Hardware:
    Chassis - P170EM
    CPU - Intel i7-3820QM 2.7GHz
    GPU - Nvidia GTX 680M
    RAM - 16GB 1866MHz
Sound - SIIG USB sound card(needed a toslink out to my surround sound)
    2 1900x1200 Monitors

    Software:
    Windows 7
Running Steam Version of Skyrim with High res texture pack off a normal HD(16mg cache, SSD for OS drive)
    Fraps to check FPS

I'm only using about 30-40% of the CPU when running it, looking for the bottleneck. I was using mods with it, but turning them off(SkyUI and hair mod) did nothing. The game recommended Ulta settings, but going to high, a lower resolution, and seeing AA to 4x did nothing.

    Thanks in advance.

Do as jaybee83 suggested, and also are you plugged in and not running on battery. Running battery only will automatically switch to the Intel GPU.

Do you have a ENB preset using d39dl.dll or something? If you have The game won't run properly, like you're describing. Use the fx injector or remove the ENB if you are using one.

    Couple of steps here.

    (1) Make sure the game is running with the 680m card. You can do that by right clicking on skyrim.exe, and then choose 680m card to run. Or you can go to Nvidia Control Panel, and choose the default GPU to run for the game. Personally, I don't think this is the problem since it will automatically defaults to 680m for this game.

    (2) Make sure your power plug is plugged in. When running on battery, the system automatically defaults to the HD4000 vard.

    (3) Battery option settings. At the lower right hand corner of windows window. Check your battery option settings. Make sure it is set to high performance. If it is in power savings mode, it will automatically defaults to the HD4000 card.

2 other people in this forum ran into the exact same problem. So did I, I just didn't post it online :p
