I order my Sager NP9262 from Xotic PC back on like the 8th and I got a
e-mail today saying it will be shipped out within 24 hours-48 hours! I am so excited. When I configured it I went with the bare minimum in most areas, But all that means to me is I have plenty of options to upgrade with in the future. It will out perform most other notebooks out there now and in a few years when I can pick up parts for dirt cheap I can practicly double the speed/size of every part. Here are the specs:

I went without a OS to save money since Im gonna be using XP until somebody I know gets vista and I already own XP. Let me know what you think.
P.S. I got a great case modification in the works for this baby that Im doing as soon as it arrives, So long as my ebay stuff arrives before or the same time. I'll post here when I start my thread in the case mod forum.

Just a quick, nitpicky, Q: what GPU did you get? Your listing (which is otherwise admirable
), only shows "Video Card: 512MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce" - I'm assuming it's the 8800M since that's the only GeForce card listed on xoticpc.com.
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
Start to prepare for it,by sleeping more. You are going to have many sleepless nights to come
-
Yeah its the 8800 GTX. I just copied the listing from the invoice hadnt noticed it didnt say which model it was. I wish I had sli but dual cards ATM is a waste of money imo.
-
i had that letter as well. I believe your laptop actually shipped out by the time you received the letter.
-
Im like actualy giddy over getting this laptop! Once I get my ebay parts and I finish my case mod on it I will love it even more! Im just hoping Im the 1st to do the mod I am planning as I want a truly unique machine.
-
you will love this lappy mate.. im playin with mine right now.. installing all the programs etc etc. having one lil problem though i cant seem to connect to my wlan router. i posted in the other thread under 9262Sli :-(

I know, Thats why I said imo ( in my opinion) cause its all subjective.
-
Been tracking my laptop, It will arrive tomorrow! I can't wait!!!!
-

Glad your gonna get though it's the waiting around thats killing me -

PS what free upgrade to q6700? -
I originally ordered the q6600 then the q6700 went down in price.

Well I got it! I am so happy! Its funny the 1st thing I did was take the computer out of the box and.... GET THIS!..Took it apart! I disassembled the LCD bezel to do a case modification on it. The thread with more details can be found HERE http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=245072

Just a tip. Never order a brand new computer without a OS just to save a few bucks. I have had to borrow a mouse and spend a hour on the phone with tech support just to get things in order and I am by no means new to computers. Matter o factly I bought this computer to use for college cause I am taking a Game and simulations programing course threw Devry University and needed the power this system provides. On that note I should have gotten vista instead of using XP.

-
same here. only 'problem' is with vista itself...
After 6-8 hours, it gets sluggish and I have to reboot. -
-
got mine without OS too.. had a lil bit of drama tryin to install vista initially but after a dicking around with bios settings.. installed it whacked on SP1 for X64 vista.. and this lappy is hummingg away.. now to install games and benchmark this beaatchh!!
