    Hey guys, I've been looking at Clevo laptops for a little while now, and I've decided on the H150HM over the likes of an alienware.

    I'd like to spend about 1500 before taxes, but after discounts. (The 100 off and the NBR forums discount)

    I live in Canada, still not sure where I will purchase it, it's a flip right now between malibal and a Canadian retailer, but it doesn't seem like the canadian retailer offers the 100 off, or the forum discount.

    I'm going to leave the processor as it is, and the 8gb of ram.
    I'm planning on upgrading the screen to 95% matte.
    Video card is a tough choice between the 6970 and 6990.
    This will be my main gaming machine.
    Wireless I've heard bad things about the bigfoot, so I'll go with the top of the line intel one.
    I can apply new paste myself.

    Any other opinions would be welcome!

    Where have you heard bad things about the Bigfoot?

    I love them and would take them over any Intel. They have superior range and speed.

    And for reseller information, I would look at the sticky thread for information.

    What is the price difference between the 6970 and the 6990?

    Just read some things about their drivers.

    6970=75
    6990=145

    If it's only $70, go with the 6990.

    Otherwise, your config looks great. ;)

    Reflexe Notebook, canadian reseller offer the 100 off, and free shipping/brokerage fee for canada. For other discount, you need to ask them with email or pm.

    Yeah go with the 6990, like everyone :)

    I noticed on the official Sager site, they are offering $100 off when the notebook is configured over $1500 and an additional $100 off when buying the 6990, anyone know if reflex is doing both of these as well?

    the additional $100 is included in the $145 upgrade for the gpu! I have the 6970 and its gr8, but I got it free on black friday ;) If you are really broke for cash 6970 should be fine (15% slower than 6990) Can you wait 2 months? you could get much better gpu and a slightly better cpu!

    Yeah but it will cost more if I wait. For example the 7970 might be a $250 upgrade.

    FWIW, I'm a Canadian and I ordered from Malibal. I chose their USPS shipping option and didn't need to pay any brokerage.

    I chose Malibal over Reflex for a few reasons:
    - They do their repairs in Canada with free shipping. For Reflex, it looks like you need to add a $30 option for free shipping on repairs which leads me to believe that they are done in the US
    - They offer a deal for NBR members. I'm not sure if Reflex does now but I wasn't able to get one.
    - They responded instantly to my PMs and emails. Reflex took 2-3 business days to respond to my email.
