From Xotic. But I have a few undecided things. Also, I am not very tech-minded at all, for the record, and I am not a terribly serious gamer, although I do play DAOC and would like to continue playing for once in my gaming experience without any lag. Here they are :

Are there any reasons to choose Vista Ultimate having to do with performance? If not, what are the advantages of using it? What does it have offer that is worth an extra 177.00?

    ------------

If only 512 on single Nvidia graphic cards can be utilized or recognized as I have read fairly often, then why would I want to spend an extra 365.00 on 9800m gtx 1024? It would seem pointless. A single 512 would seem to make more sense from a economical point of view, and/or Dual 512's in SLI would seem a better investment from a performance perspective?

    ------------

If I leave one hard drive slot empty, then will a quality ssd scl drive like a samsung 2.5 fit easily and nicely into said slot, were I to buy one someday and put it in myself, having so little idea what I am doing of course?

    -------------

Is the notebook cooler Xotic sells sufficent?

    ------------

which should I use a primary drive 5400 or 7200?

    Thanks, RG

There is no performance difference. Ultimate just give you more features... which some people might not care about.

Recommend to just get a single 9800M GT and you should be good to go with your gaming needs.

the HDD is upgradeable by the user... its all in the User's Manual.

I do not believe so from a few PMs that I have gotten from people that have given the details of the cooler.... which is very basic.

    I recommend to look towards:
    - Zalman ZM-NC2000
    - NZXT Cryo LX

the bang for the buck drive at the moment is 320GB 5400rpm.
    - it performs as well as a 200GB 7200rpm drive, but gives you more storage and less heat.

Thank you, one last thing if you don't mind, so I don't have to search the whole forum for this one please, is there a web site guide to getting this unit up and running with respect to the proper or latest working drivers. Appreciate your help.
