After waiting like 5 months, I am finally gonna order! Anyhow below are the configs I picked for my system, but I have two questions. Should I get the 3720Qm instead of the 3610Qm, I heard something about it missing vd-t, is that worth the upgrade? Second question, I am still unsure about the GPU, gtx 675 or 7970?

    Thanks!

The 3610QM is fine unless you're going to be doing heavy OS virtualization, VT-d is hardware virtualization.

And the 7970M has immense performance improvements (according the the benchmarks I've been going through), but you'll have to wait a whole month before it arrives. The GTX 675M is based on an old 40nm processor, so buy it only if you're in a big hurry.

ok thanks, not doing are programing or nothing so I guess 3610 is good enough. But how much improvent does the 7970 give over gtx675? is it like just 5-10 fps or more like 15-30 fps?

    Thanks

If you don't know what VT-d is, you don't need it.

Performance increases are not measured in FPS, they're measured in % points. 7970m is ~40-60% (last I heard) better than 675m. So 40% more FPS if you get it. Also, who are you buying from?

In the US your options are Xotic, LPC-digital, Powernotebooks, Malibal, and Mythlogic. I'd recommend checking each of them out, the one that stands out from the crowd the most is Mythlogic because they build the system from a shell and have very different pricing, as well as many more customizations.
