So I asked them when I could expect my Sager NP2090 which I ordered last sunday.
It is earlier then I expected.
Here's a quote.
'' Hello, you will likely get a unit out of the 2nd shipment. We have called you earlier today, can you call us tomorrow?
Please let us know how we can be of further assistance. =)''
This is a relief for me, I thought I would be getting it late July, when is the 2nd shipment coming out anyhow?

By the quick purchase to estimated ship date I'm guessing you went with the WXGA screen.
-
Probably 1-2 weeks later.
Did they have confirmation that a shipment has arrived yet?
I ordered on the 19th of June..... I hope dearly I"m in the first shipment x.x -
I can't believe you missed their call! (jk, I missed it too
)
Not sure when you can expect it, though
edit: royal scion, I ordered 19th of June as well, what time did you order it? (just wanna see if I'm before you, he he he) -

I did not miss the call, I thought I was going to be gone today so I noted that I wasn't going to be available till tomorrow haha. I'll be calling them to confirm tomorrow right when they open haha. -

I think you mean WSXGA+, there's quite a difference between the two resolutions, one's practically unreadable at the 15.4" size and the other's fine.

oh sorry, just posted up my build...
as you can see syntax, they are the same except for the CPU haha. -
Nah, your screen's a higher resolution. I'm fine with WXGA+, I already have WSXGA on my desktop anyways.

oh icic, thanks for clearing that up.
The hard drive we have sounds snazzy doesn't it?
The Seagate Momentus 3 gb/s 7200 RPM 160 gig hard drive. -
It's just brand labelling, mostly. It's sorta like saying Corsair RAM is significantly different from OCZ RAM or Kingston RAM, it's just brand name.
Then again from what I hear, the Seagate Momentus has pretty good load times and stats for a 2.5" drive, according to Tom's Hardware. -

the 3 gb/s dwindled my interest and led me to the purchase.
hm...would you happen to know a estimate date of when the 1st shipment is supposed to arrive? -

hm...does a faster hard drive mean faster startup times?
-

Yes, it usually does mean faster boot times, and faster opening applications.

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forums but I would like to say I'm also impatiently waiting (ordered my 2090 from xoticpc 3 weeks ago). I hope it comes by next week! I'm very excited because it will be a major upgrade from my desktop, which runs on a 1.3 ghz processor and a geforce 2.
-
Idk, to me the hard drive just sounds like one of those luxury things... whats the difference of waiting a few more seconds and paying ~150 dollars for the 7200rpm and 3gb/sec? I couldn't find the reasoning behind it and I opted just for the 120 gb 5400 1.5gb/sec - that was only + 25 for 40 gigs extra
-
when you get it, tell me what the screen is like. I want to know if I should get matte or wait for glossy.
Got an email from xoticpc.
