I finally got my NP8130 in the mail today! So exited! Took about 6 business days for build time. Ordered it on the 30th, started build on the 31st. Shipped out the 8th!

So far so good! Downloading updates and installing games as we speak.

Very nice. Looks like you've gone completely Stock if I'm correct? Great machine nonetheless. That'll be running nice and smooth. Great choice!

Pretty much. Only thing wasn't stock was the OS (Windows 7 Home) and got the 2nd year labor warranty. All I could afford.

Nothing wrong with that. I went a little over board. I just didn't like knowing I could've had it all. I was tempted to get something similar to yours though! Actually to be honest I went through a return and cancel ASUS G51, MSI GT660R because I'm indecisive. I also had my eye on the MSI GT680R. Then I found sager and deal sealed. We couldn't have made a better choice. ;)

Lol, I hear you too what321.
Ordered mine april 4th from reflex Notebook (canadian reseller in my hometown)...just can't wait. The sager homepage states the np8130 is backordered and ETA middle of April. I really can't stand the wait !!

It's been saying that for awhile but I doubt it will take that long. It said that when I ordered mine. I would talk to your reseller and ask them what the normal wait time is right now.

So far the only thing I don't like about this laptop is the cd/dvd drive is quite noisy. I usually play a dvd at night when I sleep and it's loud enough I can easily hear it over the dvd while my older Dell Laptop I could only hear when it changed chapters.

^ Copy movie to HD and run it from there with VLC player.

I'm ditching my OD for the sake of second HD.

Eventually I will pull out my DVD drive and put a SSD in there instead. And once my desktop is back online I can just stream all my ripped movies to my laptop, but for now this is what I have.

They told me 6-12 when I ordered mine. So perhaps the backlog is pushing it back to 8-14 now?

I just got the 8170-S1 yesterday and noticed a lot of noise coming from the cd/dvd drive as well. It sounds like a lot of vibrating which I don't know how to stop.

I got my 8130 three weeks ago. Am on the East Coast.

It hit the "build time" notice (from XOTIC) on a Friday, and was expecting the (at the time) advertised 10-15 business day build time. And then a 3 day shipment time.

Didn't check my email the next Thursday, but did on Friday afternoon. Only to find it had been shipped out on Tuesday, and attempted to deliver that day!! Talk about a surprise, lol.

Had them hold it at UPS facility and picked up on Saturday. Happy Camper!

I talked to my reseller. He told me it's about 10 to 15 business day from the order to my doorstep. And the backorder notice from Sager has been there for a while they say, but things still get done. Guess I have to wait another week.

    Hi,

I'm also planning to order thru Reflex notebooks--just curious what does back order mean? I think I will order on the 21st so I get it right after my AP exams hehe =D.
I can't wait to place my order and then getting the laptop hehe =D

Back order means they have more orders then what they have in stock so they have to wait for new shipments to arrive in order to full fill the new orders.

Hey I was just wondering why you took the 8130 over the 8150?

I checked both configuration of NP8150 vs NP8130. The latter is cheaper for the same components if you stick with the Nvidia GTX 460M. NP8150 offers the possibility to upgrade the video card to the 485M. That's basically the difference.

The guys at reflex are pretty cool. They call you to confirm the order and tells you all you need to know, for example, waiting time, shipping, insurance and other.

I also got an 8130 from Reflex Notebook.

I ordered it on April 6 and just found out that it will be shipping either today or on Monday.

Customer service is great and they do all they can to return emails promptly and helpfully. I would highly recommend ordering a laptop from them

Thinking about ordering one of these...

Owners...is there anything you don't like about this rig? How is the battery life? Is this model known for longevity?

Ordered mine April 4th and going to receive it April 21st by UPS.
:p So I think you have to expect a 2-3 weeks waiting time.
I also didn't order the stock model, not sure if it is pertinent to the phases.

The only things I don't like so far is the dvd drive is very noisy. Can't comment on battery life since I usually use it always plugged in while gaming.

Also for some reason I noticed VLC will adjust the volume to about 20% of normal whenever I plug or unplug a usb device. VLC didn't do that on my Dell but I was using 1.1.7 not 1.1.9. So I don't know if it is a laptop issue or VLC issue.

I've seen where a few different people have said this. How loud is it? I wonder if there are any videos on youtube where I can hear how loud it is...
