I got it yesterday and it's great, this is my setup:

    Q9000
    4GB RAM
    GTX 260M
    Hitachi 500GB 5400RPM
    4GB Robson
    Glossy screen

    Build quality is excellent...

    The screen is fantastic!

My HDD temp was never higher than 55 and it's 52-53 when doing normal stuff and 49 when doing nothing...

My Windows experience index is 5.7, everything is 5.9 except the HDD.

Intel Turbo Memory makes a big difference in application load speeds, very noticeable.

    My 3DMark06 score was 9430...

It would be nice to see other configs, temps, Windows experience indexes and 3DMarks in a single thread; I'm sure people who want to buy this machine would appreciate it...

    [Update]
    wPrime 4 threads 32M: 26 seconds
    3DMark Vantage: P5573 3DMarks
Sisoft Sandra CPU benchmark is attached, you can see how Q9000 compares to P9600, but still I think P9600 probably gets better 3DMark06 scores (based on what people are saying)...

    [Update]
So I was wondering why my wPrime score was 26 and I found out that my CPU was busy doing something; 35% of all 4 cores was being used...

I found out that it was ITMService.exe or Intel Turbo Memory service and after updating it's drivers, my CPUs were idle at 1-3% and CPU temps droped by 10 degrees!!!

Now here are the new scores:
    wPrime 2: 19
    3DMark06: 10153
3DMark Vantage: Same for some reason but my CPU scored 2,000 more.

congrats on the new mini-beast. :)

    good scores and temps.

make sure you take care of it now. ;)

    and can you post a:
    - 3DMark Vantage benchmark (curious since you have a Q9000)
    - wPrime 2.00 (set to 4 threads)

The 3DMark scores are kinda worrying me now. 9400ish is still really respectable, but...I've seen in other threads where people get 3DMarks in the 10k and up range with this card, albeit with the P9600. Is the lower processor speed really that much of a bottleneck, or is it more about drivers/tweaking settings/stuff like that?

the score is fine right out the box.

some people do not want to tweak, test new drivers, optimize the OS, and OC to get the top most scores.

over 9000 on 3DMark06 is extremely respectable for a notebook. :)

... coming from a guy that has half that score... :(

that wPrime score does not sound entirely right.

make sure you have your Power Options set to Max Performance.

and make sure you are using wPrime 2.00

what's the difference between "max performance" in vista and "always on" in XP?

I'm betting he has the CPU limited in power settings. Check the advanced power settings for high performance mode (right click the battery icon on the taskbar to get there), make sure power processing management allows up to 100% while plugged in. You can leave minimum at 1%.

Everything is on high performance and still 26 seconds... Maybe there is a misconfiguration somewhere?!

The OP stated turbo memory made a huge difference, and then I hear hes using xp. Turbo memory isn't supported in xp.

Either somone is confused, or someone doesn't know whats what.

yeah, Turbo Memory is a Vista feature only.

there are some 3rd party programs for XP that might be able to use Turbo Memory... but its just extra RAM that is not needed if you have more than 2GB.
