I got my new 5760...it's fantastic! I'm enjoying playing around with it! But I have one question. There's just a small amount of gray shading (and I mean small) in both the left and right hand corners of the screen. Nothing major or anything. I'm just curious...is this normal? Everything else on this machine is amazing, and this is really trivial, but I'd still like to know what other people say...

Could be dead pixels? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by gray shading.

It may be simply the way you are looking at the screen. Does the shading go away when you look at the screen from a different angle?

Congrats on the new notebook. :D

Can you make a review with your new notebook for this forum??

Take some good pics of the screen and the casing to show us your impressions.

Well, i'm looking at my 5760 now and i don't see any greying at the corners. It could be the angle of the display.

I took a picture of the issue with my digital camera and hilited the areas. Hopefully that helps. It's not a terrible issue or anything, as the system is still very much usable. I'm just hoping it's not a sign of something else...

My Clevo has that issue, but very minor, not as noticeable as that, but I am currently in a well lit building on my campus and dont see it at all. Doesn't seem to be dead pixels, maybe the corners of the LCD casing is a little too tight or too loose.

That's normal. Looking at it from a different angle will make the "shadows" disappear.

    Nothing to worry about :).

I'm thinking I just have to get used to it I guess. Since I don't have any other problems, it's not that big of a deal. I've heard that issues like this could be that the screws are too tight, but I don't think I want to mess with that, unless I have no other choice...
