The backlit key color should be handled with FN-/

If none of your FN keys work, it may be because your hotkey application isn't running?

I believe the path is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hotkey\HkeyTray.exe"

The keyboard color picker application itself is in the Hotkey directory as well, it is called: KbColorPicker, and should launch with the FN-/ once the hotkey app is running.

Theroetically it should automatically start when your computer boots.

The hkeytray application should run it in the background as a 'daemon'. If your function keys work, then it's running.

did you get a driver disc with your laptop. might be worth reloading the hotkey driver again.

How would I do that? Just put it in the disk drive again?
    Thanks

Yes, just make sure you have the correct driver (Windows 7 drivers are separate from Windows 8(.1) drivers). You can install it either from the autorun utility, or you can browse the folders on the CD to find it.

    ^thanks Prostar

    just to check on this.
did you get your computer pre loaded with operating system so it was ready to use out of the box. reason i ask is clevo drivers have to be loaded in a certain order or they can conflict.
if it was all installed for you and as prostar said, just put the disc in the drive and it will load and show all the drivers and then just find the hotkey driver and click to load it (not sure if it will ask if you want to remove already loaded version first or just overwrite it).
to use the hotkey shortcuts press and hold the Fn key and then press the / key for keyboard colours

these new models are slightly different layout to my EM series so best to also download the user manual of the driver disc.

let us know how it goes.

Yes the function keys are only supposed to work when the fn key is pressed. Enjoy your new beast :)

a toshiba is not a clevo.
clevo need the Fn button pressed and then the shortcut key. its a safety feature so you dont tap a key by mistake.

Some laptops allow you to change the function of the F + FN keys in their BIOS, but not very often, and Clevo is not one of them. :)

    Enjoy!
