    I ordered a 680M for CUDA, as well as the supposedly lower temps (mine hits 90C, but I plan to repaste and do the tape mod) and longer battery (I get more than enough time so it works for me).

    I really think it's just the thermal paste job I got at the factory. I mean imagine how many they must do in a day it doesn't seem unlikely that you could get a sloppily applied pasting.
