    Hi,

UPDATE: Problem solved, it's not video cards related, it's my JMicron card reader. Bios splash screen is still messed up tho.

I was able to get the gtx 680m sli to work, however when I checked the Device Manager I got 2 x unrecognizable device:

I managed to compare their ID's with the Video Cards ID and they seem to be indentical.

    I currently use this driver:
    http://laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/win8x64/353.12/disclaimer

and for SLI I used this:
    https://github.com/EmberVulpix/DifferentSLIAuto

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

On the side notes, my bios splash screen is kinda messed up graphic is all smeared, is this normal?

    THanks for heliping

They're not, actually; 10DE = nvidia, 197B = JMicron (actual device is different too). That subvendor and subvendor device (7200 & 1558) are identical is normal; x7200 = laptop base and subvendor 1558 = Clevo.

Bios display messed up is not normal, though ... which bios/vbios? And a picture may help.

You could try reflashing the bios if it's fine in games.

these are dell cards I believe, how do you find out about their bios version? and which version should I get? As for the startup bios splash screen the bios update files was sent to me from the techs at Eurocom, who told me to flash the EC update then flash the bios.

    Kinky  !

Is it random snow-type? If it goes away with either single gpu then check the vbios of both; they may not match. MXM vendor is identical, at least?

I can confirm that a messed up BIOS screen is normal on my x7200 too, ever since I installed my 680M. If you enter BIOS or boot, everything is fine.

If nothing else is mucked up I would peg it is an odd minor bug.

Thanks guys, vbios might be different, because I checked gpu-z and one has UEFI checked and the other doesnt.

Also, back when I was using amd 6990m's and have my x7200 hooked up to lcd via hdmi I could see the whole boot up sequence on my lcd. Now I dont see anything until windows start. Is this normal?

Yes, probably different then; could compare "BIOS Version" of both in gpu-z. And the boot sequence is probably just UEFI. The 6990Ms may have been on Legacy boot only?

I think it's normal for HDMI. I guess the first thing I saw when connected to an external display was the glowing windows logo of W7.

If you for some reason need to see the boot sequence on an external screen (e.g. your notebook screen is black upon startup and you want to check if just the display is broken) you could try DVI instead.

I know you are right, but sometimes little things like this just bugs the hell out of me haha. BTW, why does the that avatar photo of yours remind me of plankton from sponge bob squared pants? :D

I would have no idea, before when my 6990m's were still working I hooked my laptop to the LCD via hdmi port and I could see the whole boot sequence, now I only start seeing something on the screen when the login screen starts showing.

I suspect that bios doesnt like SLI 680ms. Funny thing is when I go into the bios it does see both cards as GTX 680m's.

With my Radeon 6990m's (before I burnt them) I could see the whole boot up via HDMI. My boot up appears on my laptop screen just not on my LCD tv, it switches to LCD right after the blue windows logo (windows 8.1).
