    I was away to take a very important exam, took it recently, and am waiting for results. ;)

    I came to the forums for like 3 minutes a day to check PM's, but I wasn't moderating anything so I sincerely apologize if there were any troubles.. ;)

    BTW, did I miss anything? Everyone alive? Enjoying their summer?

    Yes I agree that the big thing going on is getting the 7970Ms in the hands of forum members after a longer than expected delay... :(

    @Exposed
    I applied to the military, for computer sciences ;) It wasn't hard, but I made some mistakes so I have to wait for the results...

    @Heihachi
    Darn, I thought the 7970m's were supposed to be out a long time ago? Are the benchmarks still consistent though? Is it a revision or... another fault found? ;)

    @Larry
    Thanks bud, I noticed you got your Larry@LPC back, so I'll update the sticky.

    @Kingpin
    Hmm, this petition thing is new. I'll look into this one, looks very interesting.

    Hah. I had thought of making such a thread when I returned to NBR, but since it was since 2008, I doubted anyone I knew would be around :p In any case, welcome back! :D

    @Ryan

    It was just delayed due to issues with the second batch of cards. Some production issues that were found in the second batch.

    First batch that was shipped out was fine, passed Sager/Clevo approval but the second batch had a high rate of failure so they were pushing to get it corrected. It was quite the delay, they should be shipping out as of yesterday.

    Everything should be consistent with them now.

    Not sure exactly when you left, but there have been some cool pictures of the P370EM going around. If you missed the 7970m delay then that's definitely the biggest thing.

    Ha, you guys are so funny as usual. ;)

    The 7970m delays are indeed devastating... It's still the fastest mobile GPU on the market, right?

    @HT
    That's cool... so what should I call you master... ;) How's your firefly? Like it so far?

    I really like my Firefly. It's pretty damn impressive. Although seeing how the MBP 17 can offer GDDR5 650m in 0.7 inch chassis, I want GDDR5, lol.

    I doubt Myth can do it since the GPU and RAM is soldered on the mainboard.

    But the clevo, as an 11", has much less surface area to play with than the 15" MBP. The new MBP has two fans to use that extra space, while the clevo really doesn't have room for a second fan.

    Also, welcome back, good sir. I am new and have no idea who you are (besides the mod. and one should always be nice to the mod ;) ), but I hope your exam went wonderfully!

    Chance of the 650M being severely downclocked on the MBP is likely high IMO.

    Not to derail this thread, but Apple hasn't been known to downclock the gpu before.
    Actually, they did with the 330m a while back, but that is the only case I can remember.
