    Hi guys ,

SO i finally recieved my 7970M from eurocom .
The installation whent smooth bios detecs the card bios is up-to-date so is also the EC fireware .
So i tried to installed the driver from the Clevo site ( the stock driver that also comes on the CD ) but i cant install it . Ill get every single time a Black screen of death during the installation . So i tried the 12.6 Whql and the 12.7 Beta .
These both install just fine and no crashes how ever i cant play anygames .
It will switch back to the HD4000, It also says in Devicemanger that the HD7970m is not working properly but it says the drivers are on it .
Anyone has thoughts ? would like to get this spinning ! :)

    Greets ,

    Jean Paul

Hi! I had this problem once with the 12.7 beta.

    Here's what i did.

    1. run drivers cd.
    2. copy vga folder to hard drive (the folder containing the AMD catalyst)
    3. run the copied driver. (the one from the cd)
    4. install custom
    5. just deselect all. and check display adapters.
    6. install

Another solution I came up with

    1. run the cd
    2. select uninstall
    3. don't reboot.
    4. install the vga adapters from the cd.
    5. reboot and check

    =)

lemme know how it turns out for you.

oh, and I have the np9150 with 7970m from xotic pc and was experimenting with the drivers when I came up with those.

It may or may not work with your unit but hopefully it does help.. =)

    Goodluck!

that weird , here ismy soultion :

    1. first download driver sweeper and install:

    Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

    2. un-install amd driver with all features removed

    3. reboot and run driver sweeper , make sure you tick amd and then run. it must show some left over files of amd being deleted ( beacuse every amd driver leave some files behind)

    3. go to clevo driver download page:

    CLEVO - Download

    4. install amd driver for 7970, enjoy

Driver sweeper will do more harm then good. Read around, there is a program specific for removing ati drivers, it was said in a thread recently(ill try to track it down).

I tried driver sweeper cause a few said it was the thing to use, and it was bad. I ended up reinstalling windows cause of it. The thread I mentioned rags on DS and talks about the other program. Ill find it and post
