I'm getting really frustrated now. I'm getting No Signal on my TV when I connect my Clevo m570tu with a m8800gtx card to it. Iv read the manual on the TV and set the resolution and hz appropriated and put the tv on the right channel. Restarted the pc and still no signal. I thought it was the driver so I installed the newest driver from Nvidia and set up the resolution and hz again and rebooted and still no signal. Iv tryd to force detect it with no luck. Tryd to detect it as vga still no go. I know the Hdmi on the TV is working since my PS3 is getting a signal. How can I know that my grapich card is sending out a signal?

    I'm running windows 7.

Is there anything els I could try i'm out of ideas.

never used hdmi but at a longshot have you tried Fn + F2 to change it to an external monitor.

Try using a different HDMI cable and switching the port on your TV. HDMI cables can be finiky and damaged easily at the ends.

If that fails, I would test the TV with another HDMI device.

Is there some other way to test my HDMI port laptop?

Do you need some kind of driver or need to change the display settings in contro panel or something?

You're not alone. I could never get it to work, but because I'm running XP, I assumed it was down to that and left it. I thought that when I changed OS the problem would go away ... but perhaps this is a QC issue like the speaker jack on the previous model (some people had it, others didn't)

I seem to have a recollection that there was an issue with the 8800M GTX/9800M GT couldn't output to hdmi.

There might have been a vbios fix for it, but I can't remember.

When I said vbios, i meant video bios, it is a separate bios on your video card. If you run a tool called GPU-Z it can tell you your vbios version, if you post that here, we may be able to assist you.

Another thing to try is to update the drivers, 260.99 direct from nvidia is the latest official driver for this card.

My Vbios is it good? I'v already tested to install the latest driver that didn't do it.

    Found this http://www.ehow.com/how_7613291_tell-hdmi-port-bad.html

Under device manager and Display adapters I only get up my video card. Could anyone check if they got anything named as HDMI under Display adapters?

It's the latest vbios I know of for the 8800, you might try flashing a 9800M GT vbios onto it (they are exactly the same physical card) but I'd do some serious research before doing that if I were you. There are several people who may be able to help you on this forum, but unfortunately my machine doesn't have an HDMI port, so I have no first hand experience with your issue.

I had such an issue and it was due to the vBIOS. At some point when I had a 9800M GTX card in my laptop, there were two vBIOS for this card. One was the 0608 which had HDMI support, another was 0617 which did not have HDMI support.

I think it's best if he tries a 9800M GT vBIOS on his card. I don't see any other solution.
