    Hi

Is there a way to "force" radeon 7970m to take control over hdmi output and playing video movies ?
Right now every time I connect hdmi cable to my tv it looks like intel integrated card takes control of everything.
I cant complain everything plays smoothly but would like to know if I can do the sam using 7970m.

In CCC menu i switch my video player to "high performance" but It doesnt do anything (drivers version 8,95)

Im asking for that because have some problems with picture crop overscale on my lcd tv. I know that ccc should have more advanced options for that then intel hd 4000

    Cheers for any answers :)

I think the problem is the Enduro driver. Are you using a program that utilizes hardware acceleration? Maybe not enough load is being put on the system for the GPU to take over.

You can use any hardware monitoring program to tell you if load is being put on the GPU and how much (thus showing you that it is engaged, rather than the Intel HD 4000 graphics).

If you keep experiencing problems with the GPU not engaging, try new drivers for the Enduro (if applicable) and/or the GPU.

If you mean, is it possible to utilize HDMI output on 7970M, then the answer is - no.
Newest gen enduro/optimus are muxless - there is no hardware connection from dedicated GPU to video output. Intel HD handles all video output, with framebuffer being copied from dedicated GPU over the PCIe.

Correct. I should clarify that my previous post about the Enduro was not aimed specifically at external output; just playback utilization.

    Sorry OP.

    Ok cheers for answers :)

Does it mean then if I setup for example kmplayer to play movies using dxva hardware acceleration my 7970 will engage ?

Any particular monitor you advice to check if any load is being put on radeon or intel?

The monitor you use won't change anything. But yes, if you opt in for hardware acceleration, then it should utilize GPU resources to some extent. You can use HWINFO to see how much of the GPU is being utilized. :)
