UPS just dropped the package off.
I turned on, went through the windows 10 prompts.
Immediately went to begin to download drivers and computer turned off.
When I attempt to power it back up, the keyboard lights up briefly and then the system shuts off.
There is a faint beep when it happens.
I literally JUST opened this up and am already experiencing problems.

Please try to press Fn+D+power button at the same time and then see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. Same result. While I was waiting for anyone to reply, I've tried removing battery, resetting the CMOS battery...all to no avail. When I turn on the computer, of the 2 orange lights in the front, the right one turns green and then back to orange when the cpu shuts off.

The worst part is, I have a huge gig Djing for the Govenor this Friday, I don't think the provider i purchased this cpu from will be able to fix anything and return it in time. I've literally had the computer on and working for less than 10 minutes. This is literally the worst case scenario for me.

Let’s re-seat the RAM or even try to power it on with one stick at the time.

Tried that too. Apparently the motherboard is bad. I've already sealed it and it's prepped to be returned once I receive the return authorization. Thx for the help!

Just RMA it. I've already read about underperforming and issues with the new coffe lakes models, the system cannot handle the CPU at all, I wouldn't be suprised if your board got an overload. There is no reason for you do have to tinker around on a brand new system, that's ridiculous.

Which (non desktop) setup would you recommend with a Coffee Lake cpu? The computer wasn't on long enough to get hot so, I don't think that was the issue at all...I believe that there was something wrong with the motherboard...but that's coming from a non builder so, I won't know until It's returned this week.

i have seen many laptop does that. PSU blew which could be a reason but unlikely, most likely parts on mobo got issue, maybe just the power socket is loose could cause it. it most likely wont be re-seating ram if computer doesnt even beep and give error codes.

UPDATE: The seller Emailed the Return Goods Label to me and let me know that they will be configuring another Laptop for me to be shipped out ASAP. I'm guessing that I'll receive it early next week (Mon or Tues). I actually feel mixed emotions about this...I'm excited to receive (fingers crossed) a working computer. However, after talking to both @Ted@HIDevolution & @ Zoltan@HIDevolution who BOTH reached out in one way or the other to attempt to "Make things right" with a computer that THEY DIDN'T SELL ME, I am kind of regretting my choice of resellers. Not to say that I hate mine...but, as an Account Manager myself, I can appreciate the effort they HIDevolution put forth. THANK YOU Gentlemen!!! If anything, you have a future buyer and I will be reaching out to you guys when it comes to upgrading/replacing parts for my system (i.e. Vapor Heat sink for the GPU). Also thx to everyone else who offered a suggestion @ole!!! & @Phoenix , I'm looking at you!

The other part that sucks, is that I was interested in that Premo BIOS. Not that I'm a tinkerer...but, with the advantages that the Premo BIOS offers, I was actually looking forward to dipping my toes in the tinkering waters...C'Est la Vie. Does anyone know if the Bios is available for sale privately? My understanding is that it can only be obtained via authorized resellers. If anyone has any info about this, please let me know.

While we would love to help, unfortunately we do not sell parts for laptops we did not sell, because it would interfere with your vendor's warranty. We will therefore not be able to sell you the Vapor Chamber heat sink.

You are correct, the Prema BIOS is only available from Prema Partners.

Where'd you buy it from again I missed that? why not refund it and get it from HIDevolution to get a properly working machine AND get the Prema BIOS when it's released?

I never put where I purchased it from b/c I didn't want to "put them on blast" so to speak.
I have posted in this forum with a small complaint about them however... ;)

A refund was the original plan but, they upgraded my specs a little. When I try and duplicate the same order with Rush Build and Delivery, I'd be paying a significant amount more for a comparable machine...sans Prema of course. I'll have to hedge my bets on this one...However, If my CPU so much as smells funny, I'm sending it back.

I assume it's one of our partners since it's quoted as a Sager in your signature. Have you asked our team if they can provide you with a vapour heatsink? Parts and upgrades on our machines can always be negotiated.

    @GameServ
You need to Press and Hold Fn+D+Power Button for about a minute (To be safe) and then turn on the system. The first boot after takes a minute or 2, since that combo clears the CMOS.

I'll check with my seller as other sellers may not sell it to me due to a possibility of me voiding my warranty. It was definitely one of your partners...hindsight, maybe not the partner I should have selected. I'll call them tomorrow and see if the Vapor Chamber can be sold separately. If it can't, can I reach out directly to Sager? Also, can anyone give me an estimated temp savings by adding the chamber to my gpu?

Yes, if the system is from us originally you can contact us directly if you wish. Normally we advise going through the partner where possible to prevent confusion.
