Just got my new Sager np 5793 in today!!! I ordered it from XOTICPC.com and have to say that I am very satisfied with the transaction. I had some worries about using another site besides the Sager one, but the reviews of the folks here about XOTICPC convinced me to give them a try. The entire process was painless. I got my computer one week after ordering it which was fantastic! So far I have not had to interface with their customer support yet but I expect that if I have to the interaction will be good as well. So far this machine is everything the reviews here have said it was and I am glad that I did not go with the Dell or the Toshibas I was also looking at! Thanks for everyones' input!

    Congrats on the new beasts.

Remember to take of them... if you want them to take care of you.

... or I will have to do some serious lecturing about how to take care of your gaming notebook.

Fortunately I covered most of that in the Clevo Guide. :)

Long time lurker here on these forums. Just got myself one of these nice new laptops (5793) myself, thought Id jump in here rather than post yet another "I got one" post (these laptops sure are popular!). Got lots of advice from reading around on these forums, so a quick thanks to everyone on here for helping me make my choice for my first laptop. I LOVE it so far. Thank you XoticPC :D

The 5793 is popular for a reason. It is an excellent performer with a great price/benefits ratio. The notebook takes every task you throw at it and does it with ease.

I'm very happy with mine an I'll never go back to the name-brand systems.

Me too! Guess I'll add my love for the system here in this thread also. And yes, it does take anything you can throw at it. Very OC'able in every field, good solid chassis, decent battery, amazing price, great support, and when you call in, you don't have to speak to those **** Arabs! Waiting on the 320GB 7200 HDDs before I upgrade. And if the 9800M GTX will work in this system, I'm getting it, even if it requires a mobo upgrade.

Anybody else here running Mac OS X on their systems? Can't seem to get LAN drivers to work.

    Oh ya,
    Obama sucks.

Its an awesome 17" DTR that packs power like the 9262 but also is a bit more portable and has better battery life. For someone who is on the move alot and needs a DTR this would be perfect, not to heavy, strong performance and 2 hours of battery life when on the go.

I dont think there are any 17" laptops out there right now that offer a single 8800gtx except the 9262. m17x is either sli 8800 or 8700 same with the xps1730

Glad you love your 5793. Mine is on its way - should be here tomorrow, if FedEx is accurate with their tracking. Looking forward to breking it in!

The only way you can get Mac OS X on a computer is by buying a MAC. Anything else gets a topic closed and possibly deleted.

Let's just say you DO buy that MAC and you DO get OS X working, send me a private message. It will be cool to DISCUSS about. :D
