Hi all, i just wanted to ask...

my recently-bought sager just started clicking... there is a random clicking noise that happens once almost every second... has anyone else experienced this with their sager??

i ran disk check but it didnt recognize any bad sectors, i was wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences with their hard drives/notebooks, it worries me as i just bought this thing and it really is upsetting for something like this to happen so early.

Thank you for your time and help.

Check the HDD's SMART status (health of the hard drive) with a program that detects SMART status (HDDlife, Drivehealth, Active SMART, and sometimes your hard drive manufacturer has specific ones that are more accurate/better for said drive (like Seagate)). That's the #1 way to tell if your hard drive is about to fail, or is not running at 100% health. Hard drives can click for various reasons and if you're not sure what a failing drive sounds like you can mistake normal sounds for it (i.e. Seagate drives idling make a clicking noise, which sounds different from them failing).

It's rare, but it can fail right off the bat. Monitor HDD (+ cpu + gpu) temps as well.
