My friend recently purchased a sager 2092 and accidentally put a hard drive password on it. Now, whenever it boots, right after showing the sager logo, it asks for a hard drive password. Thing is, he somehow mistyped the password and now can't use the laptop.

I'm not sure if the password is stored in the bios or on the hard drive. I've removed the hdd and booted up the computer, and in the bios it still said that there is a pass set for the hdd. So it seems it's in the bios. However, I read on some forums that the password can be stored on the hard drive too.

So, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I could start by resetting the bios, but I don't know where the jumpers are located on the motherboard. I couldn't find anything in the disassembly guide, but maybe someone here knows?

Sorry, but bypassing security measures is a topic forbidden on these forums. I suggest you contact Sager, who can probably help once you prove ownership of the notebook.
