    Hi guys,

it's always hard to find news about Clevo laptops. I'm about to buy one and I was wondering if the brand has released new models or revisions of existing ones from last summer.
I'm particularly interested in those with an IPS screen.

Ithought to ask when I checked a shop for the w550eu that I knew and I saw they were selling now a W550SU or something like that.

I may still buy the older model if available coz I have the chance to get an I5 3320M for 50 euros which is a good deal, however I'ld check the newer models if they have advantages I may not have considered.

    Thanks, any info is appreciated.

Not many at all, the latest would be the NP7355 to replace the 7352, they had added in a backlit keyboard in the revision. New models will be likely hitting the sites in the next few months though. We tend to see them become available in the Spring/Summer. So if you're not in a dire need of a machine right now is kind of the time to either take the plunge or wait out the releases if the current machines aren't quite what you're looking for performance wise.

I read the new revision of Clevo will be out in february (next month).
I say you better wait until then.

I'd say don't bother on the high end as it's unlikely performance or looks will change.

It's worth waiting on the middle class at the moment though.

I'd like to take a look this year if I can replace my laptop with something from the same class and TDP wattage, but with 30-40% more power.
Currently, dota 2 runs fine on max settings. But on the winter map, with snow particles falling, the framerates around the dire ancient drop to 20 and it becomes choppy.

Also, diablo 3 with more monsters tends to chop up. Starcaft 2 HOTS is the most demanding game I play (once a month or less) and I would like some extra 10-15fps on that front too.
The reason for all this is that I dont want to lower the graphics settings. And my GTX660m is getting old here.

Perhaps something like gtx870m or gtx865m is in order in the months ahead, with a refreshed haswell cpu to go with.

6990 was pushing 100 iirc but the 770m fits your bill really.

Well, that rebranded 870m will be what Im looking for in that case.
And a refreshed haswell to go with it. Maybe 100mhz upwards (hoping for 200).

I don't think that's happening just now but the 4700mq is a good chip for tweakers.

I'm looking into getting a P170SM w/ GTX 770M right now, is this something that will have a better version at this price point?

Out of general curiosity, why is it a good chip for tweakers? I thought it could only overclock by 200MHz?
